Solar Eclipse

Sasuke's POV

I think it was about a week or so I remained by Naruto's side because of the fever he had, that also meaning it's been an exact week since we last had sex. I wasn't going to give him the final part any time soon, honestly I planned on leaving today to return to my life long mission to atone for my sins. I informed Iruka and Kakashi about how I will depart soon off to the Hidden in Stone Village. The Sound Village was closer to Konoha, but I didn't kill Karin and Kabuto so they may be out to get me. Today would be the day I leave like I said, therefore it would also be the day I have to say goodbye. Saying those words to the orange ninja will be so heart breaking to the both of us, but traveling to each village to see how shinobi and villagers thought of me was just one part of the path I must go along throughout this mission. Leaving a shadow clone with my boyfriend is useless, it would not last forever and once it disappears, Naruto would be hurt.

After I told Iruka and Kakashi of my current plans, I did not return to Naruto's house just yet. I decided to visit the hospital and also inform Sakura about my plans, therefore she would know where she would be going if her and my boyfriend were to go out in search for me again.

Walking back to his house I placed my hand onto the doorknob and was about to open it. Looking down and sighing softly, I closed my eyes as memories of us from past years up to now ran throughout my head. I'm really going to miss him, I wish I could bring him around the world and on every mission I got. But I can't, he has a life here as a ninja who is working hard for what he wants. Thinking for a while more I finally turned the doorknob to the right, opening the door and stepping inside. Naruto was in the kitchen making a cup of instant ramen like usual, turning around to face me once he heard tbe door close.

"Sasuke!" Naruto shouted my name cheerfully, taking the cup of instant ramen out of the microwave. "Where have you been?! I missed you!"

I've been gone for what, an hour or two and he really missed me? How was he going to bear with the loneliness without me being here for a month or so? A frown spread across my face as I walked into the kitchen, pulling him into a hug with my left arm.

"I'm sorry..." I apologized.

Naruto placed the cup of ramen down on the kitchen table behind me before wrapping both his good arm and prosthetic around me in a tight hug. "It's ok, but seriously where have you been? I know it hasn't been that long but I'm curious."

"Where have I been?" I repeated the question, letting out a sigh. "Well, I talked to a few people that's all." I looked over at him, placing my hand onto my cheek. "Naru, there is something I have to tell you."

"Hmm?" Naruto said, raising an eyebrow in curiosity. "What is it?" He asked.

"I..." Looking down at the floor, I wanted to tell him I was leaving that wasn't too heart shattering. After a long pause I began to speak again."I'm leaving the village to continue my mission..."

Moving my head up so I was now glancing up at my lover, I noticed his cobalt eyes beginning to water and a frown spread across his face. "Oh...okay..." He said rather delicately. "Just...don't be gone for so long, alright?..." Naruto tried to act calm, but inside I know he was breaking inside.

"Naruto, stop acting so cool, would you?" I wraped my arm around him, pulling him into a hug. Tears filled in the corner of my eyes, resting my chin against his head. "I love you so much Naruto...I'm so sorry I'm leaving you..."

"I'm going to miss you so much, Sasuke." Naruto whispered, hugging me tightly and sobbing now. "But...you'll always be in my heart and I'm sure you will keep me in your heart too! I'll be waiting for your return, alright?!"

"Naru..." I whispered his name, my hand moving to the back of his head and playing with a few of his blonde strands. "I'll always keep you in my heart, don't worry about that!" The tears forming within my eyes rushed down my face.

"Are...you sure there is no room for me to come along? I don't mind! I can put off my studying for a while and go on an adventure with you!" Naruto said, slowly pulling away from the hug. There was still tears within his crystal blue eyes but a smile spread across his face.

"It is the best if you stay here in Konoha. Sorry, Naruto..." I whispered, bringing my pointer and middle finger to his forehead and bumping the middle spot I usually would. "Maybe next time.."

Naruto pouted childishly, rubbing the spot on his forehead before crossing his arms. "No fair, Sasuke!" He whined.

"I promise..." I said to him honestly, now moving in closer to his ear. "The next time I come back, I'll make sure to do the final part of fun with you..." I whispered, a smirk forming across my face.

"I'm excited for that day to come, I wonder what you are going to do with me..." Naruto said with a small chuckle, hugging me one last time. "I'll be awaiting your return, Sasuke. Good luck and stay safe."

Grabbing onto his shoulder and practically pinning him to the wall, I leaned my face in closer to his so they were inches away. Just moving a tad closer, my lips pressed onto his nectarous and gentle ones in a lengthy delicate kiss. Both pulling away simultaneously for the gasp of air, I looked at him one last time with a smile across my face before leaving.

"Goodbye, Naruto..." I said to him, turning my body away from him and walking towards the front door.

"Goodbye, Sasuke. I will miss you, come back soon..." Naruto whispered to me 

I nodded, opening the door and walking out of my boyfriend's hohse. Closing the door behind me, my journey to atone my sins began once again. Leaving Konoha I turned around once to look back, my black cloak began to blow in the wind along with my raven hair.

"Naruto..." I spoke his name aloud, letting out a small sigh. The orange ninja was now all alonr for who knows how long, I didn't go very far and I was already feeling guilty for leaving.

Naruto's POV

My arms were extended out in front of me as if I was hugging the air, pretending my lover was still their in front of me. Since he pinned me up against the wall while we kissed, my body slowly drifted down and onto the floor, hugging my knees from the somber and melancholy I was feeling without him here.

Sasuke just left me, I was going to feel this way for a while now and I didn't like it one bit. Tears formed in my cobalt eyes, rushing down my peachy face. The cup of instant ramen I heated up in the microwave must've been cold by now, I wasn't in the mood to eat anymore since of the raven's departure. "Sasu..." I whispered the alias I would often call him, closing my eyes. "I love you so much...please be back soon..." I said again in a gentle voice, burying my face into my knees.

"I...love you so much...!"

Those were the few words I said repetitively along with a few more words that I hoped would give me a positive boost and cause me to stand back up on my feet.

He will be back soon...for me...I know we will be together again soon...
