Jason

Not twenty minutes had passed since the last boat left the dock to transport the remaining guests to Isle Morningstar. My nerves were already working overtime as I looked out the window from one of the many sitting rooms, watching the sun get swallowed up by the sea. A knock at the door pulled me away from my thoughts as I called out to the person to come in.

"Jason?"

"In here." I said, walking around the corner to meet the hairstylist.

"Ah. It's a pleasure to finally meet you. You know, you're a very lucky guy. A million girls would literally kill to be with a man like Lucifer."

I smiled. "I'm sure they would."

A chair was placed in front of a mirror as I sat down and took a deep breath to try and calm myself. Ashley set up shop before getting to work massaging my hair and working it into a frenzy. I closed my eyes during the short process, trying to think of something, anything to get my mind off of pre-wedding jitters. When she was finished, I opened my eyes and stared at myself in the mirror. Damn I looked good, I told Ashley as much as she agreed with a wide smile.

"Well, I guess my work here is done. Is there anything else I can do for you?"

"Is there anyway you can do a little bit of a touch up around my eyes? I'm afraid I didn't get much sleep last night."

"Sure. I can do that."

Another knock came at the door as the wedding planner came into the room wearing a headset and a clipboard attached to her hands.

"The wedding is about to start! Jason, I think it's best if you get dressed now."

I suddenly felt light headed as the room began to spin. Ashley and the wedding planner were already gone as I mentally forced myself to get a grip on reality and walk over to the far side of the room were my garment bag hung in front of a window. I completely forgot how heavy it was as I carried it over to the couch and pulled down the zipper. The outfit was the suit I bought when I first arrived in Los Angeles. But given my current status with the baby bump, it had to be tailored with the proper measurements. I took out the suit one piece at a time starting with the white dress shirt and red and black bowtie.

When I was finished, I slipped into my shiny black shoes and reached into the garment bag for the last piece of the puzzle. A specialized train was designed in mind to complete the look and to add a little bit of style to the mix. Holes were slit into the back as I slipped my belt into it and attached it to my waist before taking one last look in the mirror. I had to keep telling myself that I looked alright and that nothing was going to go wrong before grabbing my vows that wrote down using note cards and walked right out the door.

Music. I could hear music drifting up the staircase as the commotion coming from our guests grew louder with every step. When I finally reached solid ground, I came face to face with a pair of double doors that would open out into a small courtyard. The handles turned as a sliver of light shined through and there standing amongst the crowd of happy onlookers was Lucifer. He just looked so handsome, so dashing, so strong as he stood next to man of equal measure . I met his eyes as he smirked, sending my heart up in flames. The music changed as I took that first big step down the aisle.

But midway through I stopped as the crowd gasped. Lucifer arched a brow as I giggled. Like I would really turn around and run, though the thought had crossed my mind at some point. Just kidding. As I neared the end, Lucifer stepped forward and reached out with his hand as I took it and felt his lips at my ear. "You have never looked more beautiful than you do right now. I really am a lucky man." I tried not to blush as I fought back a raging battle of different emotions. For this wedding Lucifer insisted on not having a priest but wanted his best man, Abaddon to do the honors.
