"Did you know anything about Keith's relationship with the Galra?"

"Aside from the fact that he's half-Galran?" Pidge wrapped a blanket around her shoulders and yawned. "No. I didn't know. Sorry to dissapoint." She looked up from her cup that she used more as a hand warmer than a drink. Lance stood furthest from her. His narrowed gaze was downcast. "Lance?"

Said paladin looked up. "I'm glad you're okay, Pidge." He grumbled, turned, and stalked out of the room.

Hunk reached down and placed a hand on Pidge's shoulder. "He's been down since Keith left." She nodded.

Shiro stepped forward. "Hunk... Maybe you could go make her something to eat. I'd like to talk to her."

Hunk nodded, drawing Pidge in for a tight hug before shuffling out. Pidge tugged on her blanket, eyes on the floor instead of Shiro as he knelt in front of her.

"Katie..." He reached forward and took her hand. "This must be hard... You two were getting so close."

Because I knew, and I was helping him. Pidge wouldn't dare say that out loud, so she just nodded.

Shiro sighed. "Katie, you know... I-... I should have been beside him instead of you. He should have attacked me."

"We couldn't help who we were beside." She shook her head. And that wouldn't have worked according to our plan. "But is that what you wanted to say?"

The black paladin paused. "I... No. It's not." Pidge tilted her head, looking up at Shiro. She tried not to smile at the pink dusting his cheeks and eartips. "I need to, uhm... to ask you something." Pidge hummed and nodded, shuffling closer to him. She hoped this was what she thought it was. Her heart leapt happily. "What would... Where would you want to go in space if you've already been everywhere?"

Pidge blinked. Wait, what? "What do you mean?" Her heart then dropped. "Do you want to take Allura out?"

Shiro stopped as if to think. "Y-yeah." He looked away. "I suppose. But after we figure out this Keith issue." Pidge nodded and glanced down.

She took her hand back, although Shiro seemed reluctant to let go. "I'm going to go get dressed." Pidge stood, pulling the blanket around her. "I'll see you later." She tried not to seem to eager to leave as she made her way to the door. "And... I'm sure Allura might like going to a planet that'd remind her of home." Pidge paused at the door to say this, catching Shiro's attention before she hurried away.

Keith tested out his new bed. After arriving on the ship, he was shown to a room he would be staying in. It was similar to his room on the ship, but with a Galran touch.

Major touch.

He already put on a Galra suit of armor that felt too heavy and was almost hard to move in. Keith jumped as the device hooked to the fur on the back of his ear vibrated. He reached up and pressed the top button.

"Pidge?"

"Hi." Her voice was soft and the com made it sound staticy. "So are you settled?"

Keith looked around. "Home sweet home..." She snorted. "It's so dark. I don't think I like it. The bed is uncomfortable... I think. It's hard to tell through their poorly designed armor."

Pidge laughed softly, more short-lived than her normal laughter. "I'm glad there are things to complain about. It'll make you want to stay less."

"Hey, what's wrong?" Keith stood, worried for his teammate. "Are you still hurt? I'm so sorry, Pidge, I-"

"No, I'm not." Pidge cut him off. "I was in a pod, so I'm all healed up. I just... Shiro talked to me after I got out, and... I let my hopes up." She sighed and Keith could practically see her shrugging. "It's whatever, Keith. Not important."

Keith was silent for a moment, then sighed. "Pidge... That's... That's painful. Pidge, I'm sorry. He likes Allura, doesn't he?"

"Yeah." Pidge hummed, shuffling around in what sounded like her room rather than her lab or a Lion's hangar. "He asked me where she'd want to go if she's already been everywhere. Anyway, Lance is... Not acting like Lance."

Keith looked down, ears dropping. "Lance... He's angry with me."

Pidge paused. "I actually think he's only trying to be angry." Keith questioned her, the statement thoroughly puzzling him. "He loves you, so it's hard for him to be angry with you. Lance feels betrayed, I know, but he's not angry with you."

"Oh..." Keith sat back down, gripping the thin sheets. "Pidge... I love him, too... I want him to know that, but he can't right now. No one can know about this, Pidge."

"I know... I'll try talking to Lance, though. Keep him happy for you." He heard Pidge leave her room. "I'll try not to tease about your guys's obnoxiously loud sex-"

"Oh quiznak, Pidge!"

"I'll just tease you." He could hear the smirk in her voice. "Oh, Hunk alert! Gotta go! Press the button whenever you get a chance to talk, mkay?"

Keith sighed, but smiled slightly. "Will do, Pidge. Good luck with Shiro. Goodbye."

"Bye. Food!" Their line cut out and Keith couldn't help but chuckle at her last word. Keith gave one more look around his room before deciding to meet with the commander he still had yet to learn the name of.
