I woke up and suddenly got a headache. I felt my world spin all around me as I opened my eyes. I let out a groan and I held my head. A headache after waking up is not fun in any way.
I looked around and I was back in my room. I gritted teeth with frustration. I need to get out of this pink room. I will not allow these crazed doctors keep me like in a lab rat.
I lifted myself up and my head felt like it was about to explode. My eyes also hurt; I am surprised I had not gotten blind by now. I moved my hand and hit the plush.
It made a glitter sound which made me jump in surprise. I sighed and shoved under the pillow. Then I noticed a light coming from under the pillow. I lifted it and saw the Monolith light.
I was surprised it was not taken away. Maybe it is not important to these things. I held it and stared at it. I wonder what kind of light this is. I noticed the longer I stared at it, my headache slowly went away.
What in the world is this light? What is it made of? This is such a strange thing. It felt like I was in another place; another world.
I've never seen this light in my life. I did not knew a light was like a medicine with quick effects. I looked away once my headache was completely gone and hid it under the pillow. My body started to shiver; it was getting cold once again.
I looked out the window and it was bright. Probably I slept to noon. Do I have narcolepsy or is it because of me fainting earlier? A shiver reminded me what I wanted to do so I stood up and walked to the bathroom.
I closed the door and locked it behind. I opened the wardrobe and inspected the clothing. Very far to the right there were long sleeve shirts and warm sleeping pants. I took them and closed the door.
After I took a warm shower, I quickly dressed up and walked out. As I closed the door the sound resumed outside but was soon cut. I froze as it opened the door and walked in. This time it stood on it's feet.
I instantly looked at the floor. I felt it's eyes on me but it did not bother anymore. I slowly resumed walking towards my bed. As I sat down it spoke; it's voice crawled down my spine.
"It seems that you are okay, are you not?"
I actually was. Thanks to the light, I felt normal. I put on some clean socks and put the covers on me. I laid back and snuggled on the bed for warmth.
"I... I actually am fine. Very fine."
I looked at it and it had a tray in hand. It slowly started to walk next to my bed to the small table besides the bed. It put the tray on it and stared down at me. I closed my eyes and tried to fall asleep.
"You should eat before you sleep, 209."
It was very awkward for it to stare at me. It did not help me look for warm. I shifted and turned away; my back facing it. But it still stood there, looking down at me.
"I'm not hungry at the moment."
"You cannot just take a nap with an empty stomach. It is not healthy."
It's voice pulled the last strings of my patience. I moved my arm quickly under the pillow. I took the Monolith and swung my body around. I shined it in front of it's face and looked away.
A few seconds of being completely still, I looked at it's eyes. But this time there was no burning sensation. As to what I remember from looking before, I noticed that his pupils shrunk in size and it's eye color turned to a light grew. It looked at the light intensely; like it was the most magnificent thing in the world.

I moved my arm to the sides. The thing followed it moving it's entire body. I did that for a few more seconds realising it did not took it's eyes off of it. I put on a game face as it asked me a question.
"Where did you get this?"
I did not answer. I played with the light around and it kept following it. I needed answers. I was the one interrogating this time.
"What is this light?"
It did not even looked away of it to answer.
"This is the Monolith. It's content have the power to heal pain and feed me. There are not many of these around because it distracts me from doing my directives."
I looked at it in surprised. It was not much information but it was enough to cover a few questions about what it did. I hid the light under the pillow. The thing immediately blinked and stood straight up.
I looked away from it's face as it stared down at me. I slowly shifted position and snuggled back in the covers. I closed my eyes and hoped it would just leave. But I could still fell it standing there.
"My name is Dark Pit. Call me if you need something. All I ask is you to eat something before you drift off to sleep."
The sound once again resumed and slowly faded away. I heard the door close and I sat up. I stared at the door and sighed. I really wished to get out of this place.
Even though it was friendly, it was very dangerous. It's lethal weapon is it's eyes. I heard myself say his name out loud. Now that it had a name, it's indeed a he.
I looked to my side and saw the tray. It had a bowl filled with soup, a cup of water and a 3 slices of bread. My stomach instantly growled. I hesitantly took the bowl and looked at it.
I looked at it for a few more seconds. Then I took the spoon and took a bite. Not going to lie, it tasted very good. Even though I did not trusted it at first, I started to eat it all.
Once I finished it all, I put it to the side and laid back. I felt satisfied after eating something for a while. I closed my eyes and instantly fell asleep.
