"Hello, Mycroft," John said trying to sound pleasant.
"I wanted to check in with you after last night," he said.
"How'd..." Sherlock began. "You already wrote something on your stupid blog." Sherlock snapped at John in realization.
"Yes, Dr. Watson mentioned your new teammate," Mycroft said eyeing me.
"Teammate?" I asked John.
"Well, you were involved," John elaborated.
"She was a hostage." Sherlock pointed out.
"Oh, so sorry dear," Mycroft smirked at me.
"Yeah." Was all I could say
"Oh Sherlock, a man in Minsk, Belarus wants to meet with you," John said to him as he read an email off his computer.
"I'll be on the next flight," Sherlock said. I stood there in confusion. He didn't even ask what it was about, which was unlike him. However, his uninvited brother is standing in the middle of the room. "Excuse me, brother mine," Sherlock said to Mycroft as he walked out of the room and strolled down the stairs.
"Well, when he gets back... We have a matter of national importance. If he's not back by tonight, I'll send a helicopter." Mycroft stated and spun around to look at me.
"Do get some rest, Liz." He nodded to me.
"I'll try," I responded as he walked out leaving John and me alone.
"Well, uh, Liz... would you like to watch some crap telly?" John asked with a smirk, mimicking Sherlock.
"Don't do that; we might get told you're Sherlock again," I laughed. He also laughed, but it stopped shortly after. "Oh, yeah, TV works for me," I shrugged.
I heard the sound of a door slam open, and I looked up to see I was asleep on John's shoulder, his arm around me. I turned toward the door and noticed Sherlock staring at us.
"Evening," he said.
"That was quick," I remarked slipping out from under John's arm as I stood up.
"Yep," Sherlock responded and walked into the kitchen, removing his coat.
"Well... was it-,"
"Nothing worth my time," he shrugged walking back to his room. I stood in the kitchen unsure if I should follow him. I did, as I padded my way down the hall Sherlock turned to me from his dresser. "Yes?" he asked looking at me.
"I just wanted to talk to you. How was your trip? The flight went well?"
"I'm here, aren't I?" he asked, his attitude excessive.
"I'm sorry, is there a problem?" I asked him walking into the room.
"I don't have one," he remarked.
"So, you're saying I do?"
"Hear what you want to hear," He muttered turning to remove the watch on his wrist.
"Okay..." I sighed and turned to walk out.
"However, I am very confused..." Sherlock added before I could make it down the hall. I turned back around and walked into his room again.
"About..?"
"Why you were all curled up in John's arms. I know what I deduced..."
"And what was that?"
"You weren't interested in John!" Sherlock barked as I heard the floor creak in the hall. I turned to see John looking between Sherlock and me.
"Sherlock, are you alright?" John asked. I was surprised he didn't react to Sherlock's harsh claim.
"I'm fine," Sherlock stated and pushed though John and me. He walked down the hall, and I turned to John, confusion clear on my face.
"So... about what Sherlock said-,"
"I know Liz. It's fine, really. I thought you were attractive, but I wasn't going to act on it." John sighed.
"Oh,"
"However, I think someone else would like to act on it..." John began.
"What do you mean?"
"I've never seen him like that..." he whispered.
"Sherlock?" I whispered back.
"Yeah, maybe... if you're interested in Sherlock... you try to show it. If you are, of course, I don't expect you to drop everything and say you need to like him... It's just... I've never seen him care for someone, and it seems like you might be the one." John smiled.
