Summer Gray
"Well don't you two look comfortable." Mom paused to smile, taking a mental image of us, "I'm going to go finish packing. Aiden you can stay if you like, after all you did bring her car back and probably don't have a ride, it is too dark to drive." My mom smiled at Aiden, not realizing that she has just asked the devil himself into our home. I was about to speak up, give her a long list of well thought out reasons why Aiden couldn't possibly stay, but before I got a chance to speak, he had already replied.
"I'd love to." He smirked at me, I hadn't realized my hands playing with his hair as his head rested on my lap. It was so soft.
In a few minutes, mom walked back downstairs with a small bag in her hand. I wanted to get up and hug her goodbye, but Aiden wouldn't move.
"Bye kiddos have fun." I didn't understand why she so easily was okay with allowing a guy to stay over. If only she knew Aiden's reputation. She had never let a guy stay over, not even Ryder before we started dating. But, she never liked Ryder.
"Call me when you get there mom." I smiled, attempting to push a stubborn smirking Aiden off. He wouldn't budge.
"I will sweetheart." Mom smiled and shut the door behind her leaving an annoying Aiden with me.
"We should watch a movie." He grinned. "Netflix and Chill, but if you'd rather we make out, I'm all for it." He winked, making a kissy face. I rolled my eyes, I had long gotten used to Aiden's silly mind games.
"What movie?" I asked, trying to cross my legs and pretending to not be affected by him.
"Sex and the City." He winked suggestively. I groaned, gathering up as much strength as I could conjure up and pushed him.
"Fine, fifty shades of Grey." Dirty. I laughed quietly, coming up with a better solution to his madness.
"How about Descendants?"My eyes sparkled with delight, it was my favorite movie. Although some may say it is childish to be almost an adult obsessed with a Disney movie, but I loved it.
"We can watch them all."
At this start of our seventh movie, I had chosen a Barbie movie just to annoy him, he was asleep.
I remained awake, watching intently when his light snores were interrupted by mumbled speech.
I couldn't comprehend what he had said, he seemed so lost in his sleep that I couldn't tell whether he was sleep talking or not.
"What Aiden?" I asked, could you talk to sleep talkers? Would it awake him up?
"Summer." He mumbled again. I knew he was still asleep when the light snores returned. It was almost like he was possessed.
"Hey Aiden." I read somewhere once that if you talk to a sleep talker they can respond.
"Summer, I want you." He murmured, I felt myself stiffen. He wouldn't remember what he said in the morning, but I would.
"I can't. " I whispered.
"Make love to me." He murmured again, a small smile playing on his lips before the light snores returned. This boy was doing crazy things to me and he wasn't even awake.
"I'm with Ryder." Even the sound of his name on my lips made me feel a significant distatste. I couldn't think of Ryder, my boyfriend, without being repulsed in front of Aiden.
But I couldn't possibly like Aiden, his sole focus is on sex. He's a man whore in a certain sense.
"Ryder's a cheater." He muttered, I already knew that. I didn't even understand the reason why I even gave him a second chance. He played me once already, there was no reason he wouldn't again.
"Aiden." I shook my head. I knew he couldn't see me. He was asleep. But the little words had so much meaning.
"I want to marry you." He was clearly having fanciful dreams that he would need to quickly snap out of his hazy dream.
"No." I whispered. This emotions I felt were too strong. I couldn't. I couldn't contain the tear that slipped out.
As this Barbie movie came to a song, I had already fallen asleep. Dreams of Aiden poisoning my mind with flings and things I never felt before.
I shut my eyes tightly. I can not. Under any circumstances crush on my boss. Never.
And then I knocked out.
