"And what the hell is that?"
Thace groaned, his shoulders slumping. "For the Galra, there's four classes. Omega, submissive Beta, dominant Beta, and Alpha. Omegas and submissive Betas are the ones that carry and birth the children." Keith sighed and relaxed. "But all Omega, submissive Beta and dominant Beta have heats. Dominant Beta's heats are shorter, though. Maybe a day or two. But, factoring in the fact that you're human, there's a certainty that you'll never be with child and your heats are probably shorter. Also, they're less often. Maybe two or three every earth year."
Keith groaned, rubbing his face with both hands. "So that's what that was..."
Thace tilted his head. "You've had heat before?"
The red paladin nodded. "Yeah... Once. Two months or so after I first transformed. I was with Lance."
"So you two are already mates." Thace hummed and nodded. "Okay. Well, my talk is a little late and I'm assuming your mother never gave you that talk."
"Not really." Keith sighed. "She tried, one time, but I fell asleep before she finished." Thace chuckled and shook his head. "But, humans are different than Galrans... So even if she did-"
"It'd be different." Thace nodded. "I know. Anyway, I came in here to tell you that Kat-Pidge is looking for you. Something about a comm link, I think."
Keith nodded. "Yeah. Okay. I'll go see her."

Lance jumped, eyes widening as he whipped around. "Oh..." Lance breathed, shoulders relaxing. "Keith."
Keith slowly approached Lance and took his hands. "What's wrong? You weren't in your room or in Blue's hangar."
The blue paladin shrugged, then looked at a blue dot slowly rotating within a galaxy of blue dots. "I just... Can't help thinking of home. I had a dream I was back there and... I just... I wanted to see it."
"Okay." Keith whispered, tugging up the blanket around Lance so it wouldn't fall to the floor. "That's okay. You miss home. Everyone else misses home, too." Lance nodded, taking Keith's hand back. Keith reached up with his other hand to brush Lance's lengthy hair out of his face.
Lance's gaze switched from the blue dot to the floor. "What would they think..? What would they say..?"
"About what?"
"My eye." Lance muttered, squeezing Keith's hand. "What would they say? Would mama cry? Would papa yell? Would my siblings call me an idiot? Would abuela-?"
Keith stood on his toes to press his lips to Lance's. He couldn't listen to Lance look down on himself anymore. "Stop it..." Keith murmured once he pulled away. "I won't let you talk like that. They still love you, Lance. They're worried about you right now. I'm sure if they saw you again, they'd be sad you lost your eye. Sad you had to fight in a war worse than any war previously fought in human history, and they didn't even know. They'll be so relieved to have you back, Lance. They wouldn't be mad at you for being chosen to fight this war. They'll be so proud of you, Lance."
Tears welled up in Lance's eye as he bit his lip. "Yeah..." He nodded, looking back up at Keith. "Yeah, they would."
"I know." Keith cupped Lance's cheek and ran his thumb under his eye. "I know."
Lance hunched over, pressing his face into Keith's shoulder. His arm wrapped around Keith to hold him close, his hand still holding tightly to Keith's. "Promise you'll stay with me... Promise you won't die on me, or actually join Zarkon or some other evil-"
"I promise." Keith pressed his face in Lance's hair. "I promise you, okay? I won't leave, I won't die. I'll always be right beside you." Lance nodded, gripping Keith's shirt. Keith ignored the burning sensation that started building in his body. He didn't want to ruin this moment with Lance.
Lance shook as he breathed in. "Pidge... Blamed herself... Again... She blamed herself for my eye... How could she think it was her fault?" Lance squeezed Keith, inhaling deeply. Keith pet his hair. "I... I just can't help wanting to protect her. She's like my little sister."
Keith nodded, fidgeting slightly. "I know you do, Lance." He sat Lance down on the step and sat beside him. "But that's how Pidge is. If she's involved, she blames herself. She blamed herself for you getting shot and she blames herself for your eye. It's not her fault, and it's only partially your fault." Lance chuckled, straightening his back to look up at the ceiling. "You should have at least thought to protect yourself with the shield before jumping in front of her like that."
"Yeah." The blue paladin nodded. "I'm just not a thinker like everyone else on the team."
"I've noticed." Keith twitched and his breath hitched, his pants becoming tighter. "I-I should go..."
Lance tilted his head and looked back at Keith. "Why?"
Keith felt completely flushed and avoided eye contact. Quiznak, it's getting worse... "I just... I-"
Lance grabbed Keith and lifted him up. Keith gasped as he was placed in Lance's lap. "Lance!"
"I overheard your conversation with Thace, earlier." Lance murmured, leaning forward and tracing his lips up Keith's neck. Keith sighed softly, tilting his head back. "I'm guessing your heat's started." Lance's fingers knead into Keith's skin, trailing up Keith's shirt.
"Y-yeah..." Keith grasped Lance's shoulders. Lance trailed his hands down Keith's legs, sliding his boots and socks off. Keith moaned quietly as Lance grabbed and squeezed his thighs. "Lance..."
The blue paladin chuckled. "Do you like that?" He squeezed again, bringing a soft gasp from Keith. Lance smirked and captured Keith's lips in his. As his fingers tugged on Keith's pants, his teeth teased and toyed with Keith's lips.
Keith reached over Lance's shoulders, pulling in his shirt. "Take... Take it off..." Keith breathed out.
Lance hummed. "Your wish is my command, kitten." Lance reached over his shoulders and yanked his shirt off over his head. As his shirt was discarded, Keith grabbed his face and crashed their lips together. Lance pulled Keith closer, beginning to tug off Keith's pants.
The red paladin gasped and shivered once his pants and boxers were discarded. "L-Lance! It's cold!"
"Good thing I brought a blanket." Lance mused, raising the blanket back up over his shoulders and wrapped it around the both of them. "Better?" Keith nodded, panting softly as he fiddled with Lance's pants, trying to undo them. Lance had to reached down and help Keith with his own pants and Keith hurried to grab Lance's hardening member. Lance hissed at the contact, grip tightening on the blanket. "Quiznak, Keith!"
He reached around Keith and squeezed his ass. Keith shuddered, leaning into Lance. Lance trailed his hand further and prodded Keith slick entrance with his finger. "All wet again."
"Sh-shut up..."
Lance chuckled, then Keith jolted as two fingers intruded him. "Lance!"
Said paladin stretched and pumped his fingers inside Keith, stretching and preparing him. Keith clutched onto Lance, trembling as he panted heavily. "You're so impatient," Lance hummed as Keith bucked his hips onto his fingers. "Are you ready?"
"Just seriously fuck me right now, Lance!" Keith tugged on Lance's hair.
"Alright, alright, kitten." Lance pulled his fingers out and shifted. He dipped his head to press his lips to Keith's as he lead Keith's hips down. Lance swallowed Keith's loud, slightly pained noises, keeping him quiet enough so passer-by's wouldn't hear(although he doubted anyone was awake at this hour).
Both paladins panted heavily as they pulled apart for breath. "Not so bad, huh?" Lance whispered, his fingers caressing Keith's thigh. Keith just shook, keeping a firm grip to Lance's hair and the blanket over his shoulders. Lance smiled and softly kissed Keith. "I'm in love with you, Keith."
Tears built up in Keith's dark eyes, his ears twitching happily as he looked into Lance's gentle eye. "I-I'm in love... with you, too..."
Lance smiled, brushing stray strands of hair out of Keith's face.
"Lance, are you in here?"
