tyler wiped the tears off his cheek with the sleeve of the hoodie he stole from josh's back seat, and looked up from the tear stained paper in his hands. there josh was, on one knee, he had a small black ring case, a golden band rested in the felt. the beautiful autumn leaves were falling all around him, the different colors forming a sort of blur making it look like a scene from a movie. josh's now pink hair was blowing in the wind he had a goofy smile plastered across his face as he waited for tyler's answer. tyler's breath hitched as he looked down at the ring and then back up at josh.

"yes. yes of course i will you idiot." tyler laughed, tears of joys were falling down his face as he stuck out his left hand for josh to put on the ring. josh stood up with a laugh, his smile so wide he felt as if his cheeks were going to give out at any moment. josh got the ring out of the case and slowly slid it onto tyler's finger. tyler reached down and twisted the band slightly, his eyes were shining and he bit his lip trying to hide the obvious smile finding its way across his face.

josh slid his hand over tyler's cheek and he leaned into the touch. "i love you tyler joseph." he said shaking his head slightly in complete disbelief that tyler had said yes. he leaned in and placed a kiss on tyler's slightly damp lips. when he pulled back the boy was looking up at him with fond eyes and a half smile.

"i love you too." tyler wiped at his eyes again trying to stop crying but he couldn't. he was filled with so many emotions the only way he could contain himself was by letting out those tears.

josh wrapped his arm around tyler's shoulder and lead him back to the car. his stomach was full of butterflies and he thought that if they they decided they wanted out he would simply explode. tyler's heart was beating fast in his chest, he had no idea why josh had dragged him out of his warm bed and to the park at 6:30 in the morning to watch the sun rise, and then handed him a letter with no explanation. what tyler felt wasn't annoyance or anger, he felt the happiest he had in a very long time.

as they got into the car and drove away, the trees slowly disappearing in the review mirror, a wave of relief washed over them both. they knew now what their future would be like and who they would spend the rest of their life with and any problems they might come across they could get through together.

they turned back on to the main road, tyler reached over and laced their fingers together giving josh's hand a soft squeeze. he looked up at josh, who was looking straight ahead at the empty road, his nose ring reflecting the morning light, his hair laying messy on his forehead. tyler smiled as he looked at the man he loved, and the man who loved him, and he knew he'd never have anything to worry about anything ever again.
