CATHERINE'S P.O.V
"You guys done playing cute couple?" Connor jumped onto Riley's shoulders to mock him. "Because we have another game to play!"
"Oh I'm feeling unwell." I acted.
"Ha you're not." Connor dragged me.
"Don't!" I slapped his hand but c'mon he's not gonna even stop.
Since I was being too loud - yes I knew because intendedly doing so - Connor decided to put a blindfold on me. As the result, one of them should lead my way. Yes I was being all needy; need to stop. Because we're in the car going somewhere and whatever it is, it's a big no from me.
"Finally!" Toby cheered as he untied the fold.
"What?" I impatiently asked.
"The one Connor and I have been talking about..."
The way Toby explained was like it's a big revelation- Holy mother.
"NOT A PARAGLIDING, YOU GUYS!"
"Hahahaha... See? Catherine's scared." Connor mocked.
"Oh hell yes I am! I am NOT going to try that. Thank you. I'll stay on the ground. Not gonna die today."
Toby almost literally rolled on the floor laughing at my reaction. Yes I just had my eyes popped out. We're in this paragliding center whatsoever I wouldn't even care to check - the second I read the signboard, I was all ready to throw up. These guys should've known I had a major life problem with heights, more scary than being splashed in the deep ocean ever was. Or perhaps my phobia gave them inspiration.
"This isn't a holiday. This is a 'How to Get Away with Murder' kind of show." I walked away.
"Cat? C'mon girl, not gonna be scary! We can tandem!" Connor tried to sell the product but no thank you.
The instructor who was ready to give a speech now unfortunately froze at the corner, because we four random people were still arguing over something we should've cleared before we entered the building.
"I know you're scared." Riley held my arm. "You can tandem with me. We'll fly together. Done. Not a problem."
"I'm afraid of heights more than anything, Ri."
"I help you overcome that, may I? Just like the last time, we're gonna do this together."
"Yeah!" Connor shouted. "Just say yes, girl!"
I walked up straight and slapped Connor's arm, as it also meant that I gave in for anything they have planned on me. There were only four of us. If they wanted to fly tandem, all had to play.
"Alright! Walk this way, lady and gentlemen. Let me walk you through the safety procedure and the best way to fly..."
The instructor brought us into another room where his assistants were ready to wrap us up with essential safety suit and helmet. How (not) funny that I kept asking the assistant about what the instructor said because the most of time I was barely breathing.
"You'll be fine. No one dies so far." The assistant smiled.
"Oh how nice, you mentioned the word." I rolled my eyes.
