13: Reel and Real

Napatawa sya. "Tag puan?"

They arrived at the big rock where they first talked about Mateo cheating. "Oooooh this tag puan! Hahahahaha sa amin ni Shin to!"

Nag latag ng blanket si Gerald sa may puno malapit sa big rock. "Well, sa atin na to ngayon!" He handed her a sandwich. "I hope you like it. Its meatball sub with mozzarella chesse." He smiled. "One of my favorite!"

She took the sandwich and sat next to him. She took a bite of it. She's nodding and chewing at the same time. "Hmmm!" She swallowed. "You're right! Ang sarap!" She took another big bite.

Gerald watching her eat the sandwich. He's felt so happy. He devoured his pastrami sandwich while he watch her eat. "Kamusta na kayo ni Matt?"

She drank her water. "Okay na kami. I listened to him kagaya ng payo mo. And naniwala naman ako na it was a mistake. He was honest and sincere about it. Hindi naman daw sya nag kiss back. He felt bad kay Jessy kasi she was hurt."

"That's good!" He said na parang pilit.

"Tapos he promised na hindi na mauulit. So, we decided na to start over."

"Mahal mo talaga sya noh?"

"Oo naman. Mahal ko yun!"

Gerald nodded. "When did you realized na mahal mo si Mateo?"

"Ummmm...." she started thinking. "Hindi ko matandaan. Matagal tagal din. Kasi I'm still hurting when we started talking." She said nonchalantly.

Napatingin naman si Gerald sa kanya. She's taking the last bite of her sandwich. She couldn't believe that she finished it.

"I'm sorry, Sarah." Gerald said.

Napatigil naman si Saeah sa pag pahid ng mouth nya. She looked him in the eyes. She can see how sorry he is. "Ano ka ba, ok na yun. Matagal na yun! We're friends!" She smiled. "Ikaw rin naman naka move on ka agad. Si Ate Maja love mo na nga ka agad wala pang three months."

Gerald chuckled. "Publicity lang yun."

"Di nga?"

"Yeah. Na pressure lang kasi sa mga pictures na lumabas."

"So you never loved Ate Maja?"

"I did. But we both know the love I have for her is like the love I have for my friends. I loved her as one of the boys."

"Ayyy! Bakla ka koya?"

"Nooo!! I meant—"

"Hahahahahahah joke!! I know what you meant." She laughed at him.

Nag kwentuhan sila ng nag kwentuhan. Tawanan at tawanan. They were having so much fun they forgot the time. Nauboa na rin mga baon nilang pag kain.

Sarah laid down sa blanket and looked up sa sky. "Ang ganda talaga ng mga ulap."

Gerald laid down next to her. "Parang ikaw. Ang ganda talaga."

"Hahahahaha!" She laughed. "Alam mo na miss ko rin yan mga bola mo. Si Matt is way too honest!"

"Ayaw mo noon!"

"I guess." She sighed. "I never laughed so hard. This is so much fun. Salamat Ge."

"I love having talks and laughs with you. Na miss kita." Sabi nya still looking at the sky.

2020

"Ano yun Sars?!" Sigaw ni Mateo sa kanya. He rushes to Sarah's house on Sunday afternoon. "Totoo yun!"

Buti na lang wala sa bahay ang family ni Sarah. She just finished ASAP and she's tired. "Its called acting Mateo!" She reply. "At puede ba, wala ako time para makipag sigawan sayo. I'm tired!"

"Sarah akala ko ba wala na?!" Matt ask her.

"Wala na nga?!"

"Is that a lie or the truth?!"

"You want to know the truth?!" She yell back. "Ang totoo, ayoko na! Ayoko na! Pagod na pagod na ako kaka explain sayo! Everyday na lang ganto! Get out of my house Matt!" She points at the door.

"Sarah naman." Mateo sigh. "Okay. Okay. Sorry."

"Lagi na lang ba tayo ganito Matt? Hindi ka ba napappagod?" She sit back down.

Mateo sit next to her. "I'm sorry." He hugs her and kiss her head. "Sige, go take some rest. I'll be here when you wake up."

Umiiyak si Bea ng pumunta si Gerald sa bahay nya. "Bakit? What's wrong?" Bigla lumapit si Gerald sa kanya.

"Was that acting Ge or totoo na?" Cries Bea.

Natahimik si Gerald. He hugs her. "It's all just an act." He lies. "It's all professional."

Sarah couldn't sleep. She heard about The Buzz, read about it on social medias; she cannot help but cry. She saw clips of their bed scene on social media. It was not the scene that they did with the director. They didn't know that the camera was rolling when Gerald and her were practicing their bed scene. And they didn't edith their confrontation scene.

She knows those were real. She just can't admit to her loved ones and specially to herself. She has to do something. It's becoming too much for her to handle.
