~Kaida's POV~
The week went by fast, and soon, it was Thursday, the day of the trial.

Kaida was sitting in the classroom during lunch, sitting on the window sill.

"So this is where you've been." Kaoru said, walking up and sitting next to him.

Kaida didn't reply, only looking over when Kaoru took his hand. "Don't worry. We'll be with you. I'll be with you." Kaoru said.

Kaida smiled, squeezing Koaru's hand. "Thanks, Kaoru." He said softly.

Kaoru smiled, moving his hand from Kaida's and embracing him in a hug.

"Oh my gosh! That's adorable!" A voice exclaimed, causing Kaida and Kaoru to pull away, looking at who said it, only to relax when it was Arita.

"You two are just the cutest!" Arita said.

"Arita!" Kaida exclaimed, blushing.

"Oh, did I ruin a moment, sorry bro!" Arita told him with a giggle. Then she grew serious. "It's time to go. The teachers have been notified on where we're going."

Kaida swallowed the fear rising in his chest and stood up, taking a shaky breath. "Okay." He said.

Kaoru got up with him. "Don't worry. I'll be with you."

Kaida looked at Kaoru with a greatfull look on his face. "Thanks."

"Let's get going, we don't want to be late." Arita said, walking out of the classroom, leaving Kaida and Kaoru to follow behind her.

It took a while for them to get in the court house, but when they got there, the rest of the host club was standing at the entrance, waiting for Airta and Kaida to arrive.

They stepped out of the limo and walked to the club. "Thanks a lot for being here." Kaida said, "It means a lot."

"We would never leave you to face those monsters alone." Tamaki said, referring to their parents.

"Thanks." Arita whispered, messing with her hands.

"Don't worry Arita." Kaida said. "We're not alone."

Arita looked up at her brother. "I-I guess we're not." She said, a small smile on her face as her eyes started to water. "We're not alone anymore."

"Let's go in." Kyoya said. "We don't want to be late."

The group walked in, Arita and Kaida met with the lawyer Kyoya had assigned to them, and were informed they would both have separate trials. Arita against their father, and Kaida against their mother.

"We'll do your mother's trial first." The lawyer said, then he led the two to their seats.

A while later, there was a recess. Arita was shaking since her father had been glaring at her all throughout the trial. He hadn't moved from his seat between the two cops. Arita was despite to get away from his eyes.

"I-I have to go to the bathroom." Arita said, informing the others. "I'll be back."

"Right." Kyoya said. "Be safe."

"I will." Arita said.

She walked to the bathroom and took a breath once she was inside, away from her father. She saw a Wet floor sign and cautiously stepped over it. It would be terrible if she slipped so close to the sinks. She quickly went to the bathroom and washed her hands, hearing the door opened and she looked over, her eyes widening in horror. Standing there was her mother, who was staring at her.

"You." Her mother growled.

Her mother was more aggressive than her father, even when she was sober.

"M-Mother." Arita said, her voice shaking.

Her mother didn't say anything, instead she lunged at Arita, who screamed and took a step back her back hitting the wall as she watched her mother slip, hitting her head on a sink, then to the floor, blood pooling around her head, mixing with the water on the floor.

Arita slid down the wall, staring at her unmoving mother with wide eyes, shaking madly, she didn't even look up when the door flung open, she watched as someone knelt next to her mother, pressing their fingers against her neck, then look up and shake their head slowly.

Before she knew it, two people were hugging her, she snapped out of her trance to see Hikaru and Kaida hugging her, the others of the host club kneeling in front of her, a look on concern on their faces, even Mori looked concerned.

"She j-just... L-lunged at m-me and s-slipped on the w-wet floor." Arita told them, tears falling down her cheeks. "T-Then she fell T-to the ground n-not moving."

Kaida helped her up. "The trial will be on hold. Paramedics will be coming."

Arita looked up at him. "I'm fine." She said. "I-I'm not h-hurt."

"But you're in shock." Kyoya stated calmly while pushing up his glasses. "You're not fit to be a witness for your father's case right now." Kyoya said.

Arita just looked at him, her eyes dull. "Fine." She whispered.

A couple minutes later, an ambulance arrived and Arita was covered in a shock blanket, watching as her mother was carried into an Ambulance on a stretcher. She didn't feel anything, she jumped when an arm draped around her and she looked over, seeing Kaida sitting next to her.

"You'll be fine." He said, looking at her and seeing the tiredness in her eyes. "Tomorrow will be better."

Arita rested her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes. "Wake me up in half an hour." She muttered, then drifted off to sleep.

Sorry for the delay in updating guys! I've been busy with school and was a bit unmotivated to write. Anyhow, hope you enjoyed this chapter.

I also just got my braces off, so now I have one of those plastic retainers... It feels strange.
