Sorry, for such a delay in updates. I had just finished a couple of midterms, and this chapter had a whole lot of editing needed.

Get ready for the chaos.

Chapter Eighteen: Of Chaos and Calculation

( 3rd POV. Decepticon Base.)

Starscream paused, taking a moment to gather himself, his elongated doorwings stretched to a perfect ninety degree angle. He cycled a breath deeply, before opening his crimson optics, to stare up at the large metal doors that bore as an entrance to the command center.

"What are you waiting for, Screamer?' Thundercracker, his trine mate who happened to be standing next to him, wondered.

"Nothing." The Seeker replied cryptically, before entering through. Thundercracker languidly followed him.

His wings stiffened even more as optics broke away from their daily tasks in the command center to glance briefly at the Seeker, before moving on. The only one who didn't bother glancing up was Soundwave, but that wasn't such a surprise.

He heard the heavy, miffed sigh from the silver warlord before he even  looked up at him. Megatron sat on his throne, staring down at his long, lethal claws. Even though he seemed perfectly calm, Starscream could tell he was a ball of burning turmoil. The Decepticons had intercepted an Autobot coming in to Earth, but thanks to those imbecilic Constructicons, the Autobot had managed to escape. Which put Megatron in a bad mood, and Megatron in a bad mood was not one to be trifled with.

Which only gave Starscream more enmity for what he would have to say.

"What do you want, Starscream?" Megatron rumbled.

"Lord Megatron," The Seeker began carefully, "Unfortunately, the energon mine that we've been using resources are almost deplete."

"What?!" Megatron barked, his red optics bled redder with anger.

There was silence in the command center, and internally, Starscream cursed himself. Oh, how he hated the constant humiliation of being at Megatron's mercy. He had to keep reminding himself that he had an ulterior motive behind this. That once he finds the weapon to finish his plans, he will be invincible, and Megatron will be the one bowing to him.

"But, there is good news," Starscream began quickly, "We have located another rich source in a mine."

"Did you now?" Megatron's optics flashed with surprise.

Starscream nodded, his chin tilted haughtily, "Yes! And it was all my doing!"

Megatron was unimpressed. Instead, he leaned forward, arms resting heavily on the sides of his throne. Starscream tried not to grimace to hard at the sight, "Then why are you still standing here? Go pick the mine clean."

"Yes, but there is...one complication," Starscream murmured, wincing as Megatron's angry optics flared to life again, "The mine is directly under a populated human city; Kennewick, Washington to be exact."

"Starscream, let me ask you something," Megatron said

(Charlie's POV)

I had lost Sideswipe by the fifth hallway I ran down, and since my heart was beating wildly in my chest while my lungs worked themselves into overdrive, I decided to call it quits, and just walk. But still determined to get revenge, I kept walking, checking all the main places he normally went to, like the Autobot Hangar, the Main Hangar, or the large courtyard east of the Main Hangar, where most of the bots liked to be so they can stretch their joints. I was making my way down to the courtyard, passing by the large spar room for the Autobots.
