They both went into class with people giving them stares. Rainbow Dash looked at them all wondering what's their problem. Soarin sat in his assign seat with Dash next to him. She leaned back and laid her feet on the desk. He shook his head smiling to himself.

"This seat taken," she joked with a giggle. He laughed a bit himself. It's been awhile since he has and felt kind of weird and great at the same time.

The teacher walked in with a stack of papers. Soarin flinched at the sight of the stack and he caught Dash do the same. They both knew what that meant, lots of homework.

"Morning class, I see that you've been move periods Rainbow," she said now looking at her.

Dash nodded. "You know me Teach, moving around a lot is my thing."

The teacher, Mrs. Shepard, just looked at her looking unamused. Dash then removed her feet off the desk and smiled politely. "Sorry Tea-er I mean Mrs. Shepard."

"Maybe they should've switched classes instead," she muttered to herself.

Soarin let out a breathe, atleast science would be more interesting.

Soon enough lunchtime came around and as usual Soarin sat by himself. Rainbow has always saw him sitting by himself but she didn't really know the reason why till this morning. She always sat by her friends laughing and talking about their lives.

There was the fashionista and generous one, Rarity. Then the cowgirl Applejack. The fun and bubbly Pinkie Pie. Her best friend since childhood to Cloudsdale Middle School to now Fluttershy. Sunset Shimmer who recently was the school's bully but learned to be everyone's friend. And Twilight Sparkle who was from another school.

While Pinkie was talking about her recent prank on somebody, Dash was staring at the boy she saved from his near death experience. Without thinking, she got up and walked towards him. Her friends stopped chatting, watching her moving away from them and going to a blue haired boy who was alone. She sat across from him and smiled.

Her friends looked confused, especially Sunset. "What is she doing?," she asked.

Rarity shrugged, "A new friend? Maybe?"

Deep down, she's glad her friend was helping somebody who really needs it. She grabbed the other girls' attention into a story.

"Hey," Dash said to Soarin.

"Hey," He replied smiling. He felt happy.

"Mind if I sit with you?," she asked.

"No, I don't mind," he responded with a sparkle in his eyes.

"What's up lately? I mean other than you-know-what situations"

"Well, my Mom might get me signed up for the school's team, hopefully i'll make it."

Dash didn't want to ask about what the bully said about his parents dead, apparently his Mom is still alive. She hated it when bullies disrespect other people's parents. Especially after her own Mom's death, her father is all she has as family. She remembered when he taught her how to play soccer.  She would miss the kick and fall flat on her face. He would always help her back up and tell her that every pro starts out small. To this day, she has became a pro.

"The Wonderbolts? I've always loved them! Glad we both have the same dream." She laughed to herself. Soarin laughed along, this girl is really something.

"Rainbow Dash, have you ever been hated?," he said, his smile now faded.

She placed her elbows on the table and laid her head on her hands. She thought for a few seconds before answering, "Now that I think about it, yeah. But usually who ever picks a fight with me would be getting a black eye. I've been bullied at Cloudsdale Middle School. That's when I learned how to defend myself. People would pick on my friend Fluttershy and I would stand up for her. And I still do."

"Why did you save me?"

Dash stared at him, her face unreadable. "Because it was the right thing to do. I couldn't just stand there and let you get killed. He was punching really hard and those blows could send you to the hospital in a very bad state. I couldn't let that happen." She then grinned, "and the authorities will get this handled."

Soarin looked confused for a second, "What?"

"After science I went to the principal about it, she'll make sure it'll never happen again."

"Rainbow Dash, you didn't-"

"Soarin, i'm your friend, I don't mind."

Soarin felt his heart beat faster on the word "friend". "T-thanks," he studdered. "Thank you so much."

Dash once again smiled and held up a hand. "High five!"

He reached over and high fived her. A shock of warmth flooded his veins once he made contact with her skin. He never experience that feeling before.

"Hey Soarin," she said standing up. "Race ya to class!"

He stood up with a smirk, "You're on!"

They ran through the cafeteria, with her friends looking at them. Sunset with a proud smile on her face.
