Jake's Pov

Time had gone by but not too much. In the short week and a half that I stayed home, I was put into therapy. Okay.. I signed myself up for it. They put me on a couple small medications to help with my anxiety and depression and now, I was ready to go back to school. I only had 1 last week left before I graduated with Blake. We weren't far behind on much because made up the work at home.

Blake snaked his arms around my waist and held me looking up. I swear.. Sometimes he makes me feel like such a girl.

"You ready babe?" He speaks softly with his head still cuddled up on my side. 

I just nod as we were already both dressed. We head out after saying goodbye to his mother. Her and I have gotten closer. Maybe even closer then her and Blake but to be fair that's because I let her baby me whereas Blake does the 'tough guy' act.

We decided to walk to the school because of how nice the weather was. Blake was holding me tightly as we walked clearly going back to the protective boyfriend he tends to be in public.

"If anybody touches you, just let me know. Now close your eyes babe." He says once we stood at the front school entrance. 

I raised my eyebrows in confusion but did as told. I felt him grab my hand and heard a small jingle. I felt him kiss my lips before telling me to open my eyes. 

I opened my eyes and glared at the bell he wrapped around my wrist.

"Get this shit off my hand, i'm not a chiiiild babe !"

Blake busted out laughing and I just pouted stomping away. He caught up with me and just pulled me into a hug. 

"Relax baby, it's cute. I just wanna know where you are sometimes !" He says 

The school bell sounded and we had to run into. Students were rushing to class. Some noticed us but kept their heads down. 

We made our way to English class and sat down in the far back. We didn't want anybody causing us trouble.

"Hey Jake? Blake?" 

We turn to the table by us and notice two guys. They both handed us a flyer and looked at Jake whilst they spoke to us. 

"We're having an after party after graduation. We wanted to invite you guys."

They waited for a reaction but after not getting one they just walked away after telling us to give it some thought.

I looked at Blake and he had his eyebrows raised at them as they walked away. 

The whole day was full of weird confrontations with other students. I was alone for most of my classes but either way these last couple days were just seniors taking their yearbook photos and getting ready and signing out our lockers and textbooks and whatnot so i'd occasionally sneak off to chill with Blake. 

Then lunch came.

I was dragged off by a group of girls to their table.

I sighed. The pep squad.. Aka cheerleaders. 

They had their hands all over my hair and drowned me in questions about my relationship. Not like they cared before so why do they care to ask now. That's when one of them brought it up.

"Did you hear Jenson was arrested? Yup. He was picked up right outside his house. Serves him right though right Jake?" One of them asks me completely ditsy and oblivious.

I froze feeling my mind wander when their stares were cut short.

"Sorry ladies, i'll have to take my boyfriend now. Thanks for keeping him company though" Blake cuts in.

He takes my hand and drags me away. 

Blakes Pov

I took his hand and led him away. I know how awkward he can be. He's been approached by several groups of people already and to be completely honest, I just don't trust any of them.

I led him to the music lounge room where I had the lunches I got us. At the end of the year a lot of class rooms are empty because classes aren't in session. Jake shy'd away but I just dragged him closer and sat him down.

"I didn't want to be like the lobsters in those sea food restaurants people stare at when they want to eat them so I decided to bring you with me in here alone. This way no one will bother us." I began

"That was oddly specific. T-thank you" he says back quietly.

I Just smile and start eating. How did I get so lucky to be with someone as cute as him? He puts up with me and trust me and in a couple days, i'll be graduating with him. 

I turn to him and smile as a sign to go on.

"What are your plans after graduation?"

"Oh, well.. I was accepted to a few colleges but I think I may stay behind for a gap year. Keep my mom company a bit longer. But I haven't really decided." I reply. "How about you?"

Jake stiffens up a bit and wiggles his nose. One of his uncomfortable twitches. 

I hear him mumble something but I couldn't quite pick up on it. 

"Baaabe, you're right next to me and I can barely hear you." I whine.

He shoves his face into my chest and hides. I smile.

"I wanna travel, okay!! Don't make fun of me!" He shouts back clearly pouting. 

I kiss his nose and smile again.

"I wouldn't dream of it." I say.

I think that's when I came up with the surprise for him..
