Justin just stared at Aiden and Lance. By the looks of it, both are flared up to kill him any minute now. Much to Justin's dismay, a different and much smaller yet stronger fist landed on his beautiful face. It came from the only girl he’ll never have the guts to flirt with…Rose.
Enraged by what he did to Sam, Rose was about to pursuit him after the hard blow in Justin’s cheekbone, but a pair of warm hands engulfed her waist, preventing her to do any attack.
She cried in frustration as her lungs burn and tears spilled from her green eyes. Her face was sore and breathing became as difficult as trying to speaking at this moment.Standing on two wobbly feet, she suddenly found herself helpless and weak . In frustration, Rose struggled to break free from the arms the laced around her. But she found herself vulnerable for the first time, defenseless to Zach’s arms.
“Ge-get your hands off me!” She stuttered, facing the ground.
“You son of a bastard, stop messing with my best friend nor my sister nor any other girl! You stupid player, don’t you have better else to do?!” She scowled at Justin, making his eyes widen.
Aiden was chuckling, deciding whether he’s affected by the word ‘player’ or not. Sam gave him a nudge, hissing that it’s not time to joke around.
“And yo-“Before she could even finish her words to Zach, she stopped when she met those brown eyes that she hasn’t seen for a long time.
She finally caught Zach off guard and broke free from his embrace. Crying, she sprinted outside.
“Well, what a show” Justine mused while sitting in the cold floor.
All heads turned to face him and shot him daggers look. He took a huge gulp, knowing that he’ll get something worse than the punch from Rose.

Rose sat on the swing with her head down. She didn’t feel like thinking about Zach nor Sam. All she wanted right now is to be alone. Can’t things get any worse?
The thunder roared and the rain started to fall. Rose didn’t mind getting wet. Water was dripping in her face and her clothes were soaked. She suddenly found herself lost in thoughts about the fight she had with Zach when she first came to school for Christmas Break after coming home from London.
His face was angry, rejecting her apology. What hurt Rose most was when he left her there while exiting with his newfound girlfriend, his hands wrap around the girl's waist. Rose felt like a fool out there. She just blurted to him that she recognized his feelings for her but then, he gave up. Easily.
If they could just be friends and no more special treatment, that would be good enough for Rose, sadly, it’s hard to tell.
Shocked, Rose widened her eyes when the rain stopped pelting her. She looked up to see an umbrella covering her.
It was Drew.
She looked into his blunt brown eyes, giving him a questioning look.
