6. Undergrounds

Syra stalked down the sidewalk with a purpose, her boots clicking roughly against the concrete.

Ever since she left Sebastian, the Bellboy, she refused to think about how she had sex with him not just once, but two times and the fact that her magic had definitely not worked.

That last fact bothered her the most because she'd slept with another supernatural being and he certainly wasn't an incubus or demon.

Which was why she was overlooking those facts and focusing on a greater matter: her sister, Vixen.

Syra was rampaging through the streets now on the hunt for her sister and she had a feeling Vix would be where the trouble loomed around Los Angeles.

The undergrounds.

Like the Abyss, Los Angeles seemed to have it's own underworld that was dark, volatile, and as shady as you could get.

Just where did this "realm" exist?

In the subways, under the cities, possibly in dark corners.

Syra almost wanted to shudder at contact with dirty humans, but she needed to confront Vix and if anyone was dirty it was her and the Abyss where she once lived. So sucking up her courage, she headed down the stairs that led to the subway tunnels.

People bumped into Syra as they got off the subways and she had to restrain herself from growling at them.

After a bit more of being bumped and jostled she broke free of the crowd and was met with the vague emptiness of tunnels, cracked tiles and stragglers.

With a huff, Syra stood still and reached out with her powers -- the few left she contained -- and began to feel where her sister was.

She couldn't simply do this anywhere because she needed a close proximity, she could sense her younger sister's demonic blood; the same blood that was Syra's.

The power she used was one both sisters shared; a Blood Bond. The bond had been formed when they had been babies, especially by Dante. It was one many siblings and others of the same blood shared.

It was Syra's curse and gift. She could sense Vix but Vix could also sense her if she tried.

Luckily, she wasn't trying this time as Syra pin-pointed her sister's exact location. The power was like a string, pulling her to the other sharer; her sister.

Syra raced in the direction of darkness, her eyes adjusting the further into the blackness as she went.

She could make out cracked concrete, tiles that were decorated with graffetti more and more as she continued deeper in and garbage that was scattered all around the floor.

As she stumbled around Syra began to think the Blood Bond was wrong or Vix was throwing her off until she rounded a corner and light shown.

A fire sparked through the darkness, contained in a metal bin with humans surrounding it and casting dark shadows on the walls. In the center of the loose circle, giggling loudly, was Vix.

At first, Syra was going to confront her sister and just outright ask what the hell Vix wanted, but when the clothes started shedding, drugs began, and Vix yanked out a whip, it all became too clear what else her sister had come to Earth for:

Sexual punishment, feeding, orgies.

Vix was...a masochist, a sadist and she took great pleasure in giving others pain and receiving it.

Syra shook her head, she needed to get to Vix now before she fed and gained more strength, more power.

Syra stepped forward, into the firelight and instead of looking surprised, her sister simply smiled.

An evil smile, at that.

"Syra, how nice of you to come and join!" Her voice was like a siren's; beautiful, but underneath was deadly.

Syra wasn't fooled, but since she was outnumbered and couldn't simply poof away, she stepped forward.

"Yes, nice."

Syra's eyes flicked around as she felt the waves of arousal pulse roughly against her. Angry arousal.

Syra winced. She wasn't like her sister, Vix. She liked rough sex and could handle drawing blood or having her blood drawn, but she didn't like brutal, harsh, broken-bones sexual encounters.

Vix chuckled suddenly, drawing Syra's full attention.

"Should we show her how to have a good time, boys?"

The men grunted and some flashed gruesome smiles in their drugged states.

Syra began to back away, but it was only right into a human's arms.

It's only one, break away now!

Syra ripped the male's arms from her and yanked him around, choking his throat with her hands. He struggled, but Syra's supernatural strength made her stronger though it wasn't necessary due to the human's drug addled mind making him sluggish and weak.

Syra had been so distracted with grabbing the male that when she felt the brush of her sister's long nails against her neck she knew it was useless to try and fight.

"Now sister, that's not how we play."

Her sister's voice was a knife piercing Syra deep. She moved to break the skinny male's neck, but Vix moved faster and gripped Syra's own neck.

"Drop him, Syra."

Syra snarled, but released the male, watching him scuttle away to the other three men.

"Come now, don't be shy, lovelies. Syra's just fiesty."

"You bitch!" Syra spat, her feelings of resentment rising again as flashes of what they had done before, in the Abyss, rose in her mind.

Vix moved her hand to Syra's throat, tugging her back to her chest and growled.

"Sister, it was your fault, your idea to be with an Elder! Stop holding on to that old grudge!"

Vix's words were a slap to Syra's face and she slumped into her sister as the grubby males, dark and light skinned, approached.

"This is why your here, sister? To make me suffer more?" Syra's voice was a crumpled whisper.

Vix's hold on Syra's neck slipped and her voice wavered, "No..."

Syra pushed away then, taking her chances and ran. Her sister's voice followed her as she spoke to the men, aiming to please, torture and feed once again.

**

Syra gasped as she reached the surface of Los Angeles, her mind whirring.

Vix had let her go, had admitted to not wanting to torture her more and dealt with the men, though Syra was sure she wanted to be there anyways.

That wasn't all Syra was sure of though. Vix didn't just have a sudden change of heart, no she had let Syra go for a reason. She seemed like she cared, but Syra knew... She knew how convincing Vixen could really be, how cruel, how....awful.
