~Your POV~
After I spoke with my dad we just exchanged some hellos and asked when I was coming home. I told him soon, and that my boyfriend is coming along. He said he's been wanting to meet him since mom told about Sean. "Y/N, do you want me to drive you two to your house?" Jack's mom questioned. "That'll be great ma." Jack budged in. I don't really don't my dad to meet Jack, but if he wants to...I won't barge in. Jack helped me to the car, and Shauna opened the door for both of us. "Thanks Shauna." I smiled and hopped into the minivan.
~Time skip 5 minutes of driving 'cause I can~
Once we pulled up, Shauna came around to open the door for the both of us. Mom came running out the front door and helped Jack and I out of the car. "Y/N, I'm glad you're finally home! Your father has been waiting for you." Mom kissed my cheek and led me to the front door. "Oh and Sean, dear. I was telling Y/N's father about you. He thinks you're quite a catch." Mom winked to Jack. "Thanks, Ms. L/N. I hope he's likes me." Jack chuckled. "His name is D/N (dad's name) by the way" I told Jack. Mom opened the door and what I saw on the couch, I could not believe. My father who I have not seen in 10 years, looked better than ever. Only few gray hairs stood on his head. A shaven face, nice polo and shiny shoes. From being a drinker, and divorcee I imagined a scraggly, half-drunk 48-year old man. "Y/N! It's so great to see you again!" He came over and gave me a big hug. "You're crushing me between my crutches." I was buried in my father's grip. "I'm sorry sweetie. Your mother told me what happened, I'm so sorry about that." Dad said and let go. He looked at me with over-joyed eyes. He was actually, truly happy about seeing ME. "Hello, young man. I guess you're Sean?" Dad went over and shook Jack's hand. "Yes, sir. That is me." Jack smiled and nodded to my dad. "I guess your mom already left, huh?" I leaned and whispered to Jack. "Well, she probably has things to do." Jack whispered back. "So, Y/N, darlin' how have you been all these years? I've missed you so much." My father genuinely seemed to smile. "Things sure have been getting better." I looked over to Jack when I said that, "Except for the broken parts..." "I am so very sorry for what happened to you and your friends. What even happened to cause such a serious injury to my baby girl?" Dad looked at me and was truly interested in this conversation. "About a week ago or so, our friend Mark visited us from L.A." I started the tragic story, but my father cut me off, "Los Angeles? Wow! I remember when I went there for my 21st birthday! That was a wild ride..." "So as I was saying, we all decided to go McDonald's and it was raining that day, and J- Sean's mom couldn't give us a ride. We had to call up Sean's dad to give us a ride. The rain made the road very slippery and we had a collision which gave me a broken foot, Sean a broken arm, and Mark a sprained ankle." Re-telling it gave me a lump in my throat, almost forcing me to tear up. "Wait.. Sean's dad caused your injury?!" "No, no, no! You got it all wrong. That isn't what happened at all-" I tried to explain to my...parent? "No, no, Y/N. You are my one and only baby who got hurt from some...psycho driving in the rain!" Sean looked furious out of the corner of my eye. "Dad! That isn't what happened at all, and Sean's dad is NOT a psycho!" I tried to argue with this man. "For what all I know, these..foreign freaks don't know what they've got comin' for them!" He was already yelling. "Y/N, I think...-" Jack opened his mouth. "No, Sean. I'm sorry, but we have to go. Right. Now." I slightly whispered a bit too loud to Jack. "Y/N L/N, you promised me that you would spend some quality time with your father and I!" Mom asserted and got up immediately. "Mom, you know how I feel..about...y'know. But I have to leave right now before this gets out of hand." I never mentioned how bad of a whisperer I am? Well he could still hear me. "Gets out of hand?!" He mocked me, "This is NOT 'out of hand' Y/N! I am not going to let you leave me again!" This stranger barked in my face like he owned me. "You don't have any of the rights to talk to me like that. You may have physically created me, and gave me life, but that does not compare with the zero amount of custody you have over me!" I continued to argue, and yes; I pulled the custody card on that total stranger in my mother's house. "Y/N M/N L/N, how dare you talk to your father like that!" My mom and my..nothing..said in sync. By now, we were all standing up from our seats and in each other's faces, yelling. Jack scooted closer to me and grabbed my wrist. "Oh no, young man! You son of a bastard! Get your damned hands off my beauty of a daughter!-" This stranger I've refused to call a father figure for all these shitty years, I just slapped hard across the face. Definitely deserved all five fingers and the palm. My mother had a face full of mixed emotions. Shock, anger, confusion, and joy? This all happened so quickly, but it all in slow motion.. like a dream. But I know this was actually happening. Despite having a full cast on my leg, I grabbed both my crutches and had Jack squeeze my wrist tight enough that he almost dragged me out the door.
