Then there's you

Ethan's pov:

"So, what's your first class?" She asked. I could tell that she was avoiding eye contact with me, but why? Could she possibly know anything about me? and who could have told her?

Man, she was beautiful though and when the wind would blow, her blonde hair would blow with it. I stared to drift off in thought until I remembered she had asked me a question.

"Biology" I said
"Me too" she said, a small grin forming on her face. She walked in front of me leading me into the school and down a hallway. She pointed to room 103

"Mr. Scuppie is our teacher and he doesn't like when people are late... so we're in trouble" she said and laughed a little then looked down at her shoes.

She must do that when she's nervous or something. I laughed with her and we walked in.

Mr. Scuppie cleared his throat and pushed his glasses down to the tip of his nose

"is there a reason you are late Ms. Taylor?" He asked crossing his chubby arms.

I saw her shift uncomfortably and I knew I needed to say something.

"It was my fault"
"She was just showing me to my classes like Mr. Pooman asked her to do" I said standing a little taller with confidence.

"Ah, you must be Mr. Dolan? Our newest student" he said with a closed mouths smile.

I nodded.

"I'll let it slide this time, but I do not like it when people are late" he said looking at the two of us and sighed.

"Yes sir" we both said in sync and sat down.

Alyssa's pov:

After biology class I went to tell Olivia about how we were late to class.

"Why would he stand up for me like that" I asked confused.

"He must think your cuteeeeee" she nudged me and squealed.

"But we just met today?" I said.

"So? You just met him today and you think he's cute.. What's the difference?" She asked.

I just simply nodded. I guess she was right, but I didn't want to over think things too much so I didn't mention it again.

*skip to lunch time*

I was walking down the hall when I felt someone beside me.

"Hey" Ethan said shooting me his million dollar grin that made my stomach erupt with butterflies.

"Hi" I said back.

"So what's up?" He asked casually.

"Um.. School" I said laughing and motioning to everything around us.

He just laughed and smiled at me. I could tell he was about to say something but stopped and said that he had to go and walked the opposite direction.

Just as he left, Max came up behind me, tugged my hair and laughed. "Hey" he said grinning.

"Hey Max" I said looking around to see if I could find Ethan anywhere.

"I thought I told you Ethan wasn't a good kid" he said looking me in the eyes and not smiling anymore.

"He seems like a pretty nice kid to me" I said with a shrug grabbing my books out of my locker.

"Alyssa, do you think id lie to you?"

"No bu-" he cut me off

"just please. Trust me on this one" he said pleadingly.

"Ok" I said and nodding then looked down at my shoes. Max nodded back then walked the same way Ethan had gone out.

What the heck does Max have against Ethan I wondered as I walked to the cafeteria.

I sat down at the same table as Olivia and she smiled at me.

"Can I ask you a question" she said starting to smile a cheeky grin.

"Shoot" I said.

"You like Ethan..don't you?" She said
"No I don't"
"Yes you do"
"Olivia"
"That's my name don't wear it out"
she said and started to laugh.
"I don't like him"
"Ok, ok"

I looked up from my food to see Ethan walking straight towards us... Everything seemed to slow down.

It was like those moments in movies where the hot guy approaches the girl in slow motion...Yeah, it was one of those moments.

I smiled at him and he smiled back awkwardly then ran his fingers through his hair. Something was bothering him.

"Can we talk?" He said shifting his feet and sticking his hands in his pockets.
