"Finn will like that." You jumped a bit and turned to look at Millie, leaning against your doorframe.

"How long were you standing there?" You asked her.

"Long enough." She shrugged. Her short brown hair was tuckled messily into a top knot. Baby hairs that weren't quite long to make it into her half up ponytail framed her face and hung behind her ears. Millie was really the only one who could pull off that look. "So how do I look?" She asked twirling. She wore a red one piece with lacy cream straps that tied by her neck.

"Adorable." I told her and grabbed some f/c flip flops. I picked up my beach bag and my phone. Millie ran back to her room to grab her white sunglasses and we were out of the door.

Finns POV

"That should do it." Gaten said, hastily slapping sunscreen on my face.

"Gaten wait!" I yelled but he had already caught up with Caleb, and was getting in the water. I sighed and attempted to rub in what was left. Noah finished setting up the towels and turned to face the pier.

"Hey Millster!" He called and waved. I turned and saw Y/n and Millie walking down the pier towards us. I waved also and the girls started running towards where we'd set up the towels. They dropped their bags and walked towards us. Millie pushed her sunglasses up to the top of her head.

"It sure is hot here in the winter." She said, fanning herself. Y/n laughed quietly.

"Well it is California." She said. "Hey where Sadie?" She looked around for our red haired friend.

"She didn't want to come." I said, still finding randomly placed globs of sunscreen on me. Some was even in my hair. Damnit Gaten.

"Yeah, she said she burns easily." Noah interjected, laughing.

"Thankfully I won't." I said cleaning the sunscreen out of my bangs. "Gaten did a great job with the sunscreen." I said sarcastically. Y/n laughed and reached over, wiping a bit of sunscreen I'd missed off of my nose.

"Missed a spot." She explained. She looked really good in her suit. Not in a creepy way, she was just... really pretty. Her hair hung loosely at her (wherever your hair ends depending on ur hair length lol). She smiled at me. "So uh should we go in ...or" Mille nodded and skipped ahead.

"Race ya!" She called and y/n ran after her. Once we got down to the water, everyone had calmed down. While she and Millie were taking and wading near the water, I pushed her in. She sat up in the water. It dropped from her hair and some sand clung on to the ends.

"Finn!" She pouted. "You totally wrecked my hair." Millie walked away muttering, "I'll leave you two alone."

"It was already a wreck." I teased her. She tried to hide a smile and failed at pretending to be annoyed at me. I put my hands up defensively. "I'm just kidding! I swear. It looks pretty, like it always does." She smiled and looked away.

"Whatever. Just help me up." She stuck her hand out and I took it. She pulled me in and I landed on top of her. "I got you. Sucker!" She laughed and pushed me off of her by my chest. I got up, blushing and helped her up for real this time. She popped up and dusted the sand off of her suit.

"Chicken fight!" Noah yelled. Although he was small, he lifted Millie onto his shoulders and stood up straight. Caleb tackled Gaten. He tried to climb onto his back, but fell in the water again.

"Come on dude you can do it." He shouted, laughing. Gaten stood up and rammed into Noah, nearly knocking Millie over. I turned to y/n.

Your POV

Finn turned to you and raised his eyebrows. "So you wanna..." he motioned his hands in a circle.

"Finn, I am not letting you break your back for a dumb pool game." You told him. You were a bit worried you'd be too heavy for him too carry and he'd either have to struggle or embarrassingly set you down.

"Okay first of all, this is a beach, not a pool. Second it's not dumb. You are offending the chicken fight gods." You laughed and he smirked. He moved his dark hair out of his eyes and pushed it back. It looked kinda hot like that. "And third, I carried you the other day, who says I can't do it again? Plus I heard somewhere that people don't weigh as much in water or something." You shook your head.

"I'm not sure-" he lifted up his arm and flexed his bicep. He patted it twice.

"Trust me I got this." And with that he swept you up and onto his shoulders before you could protest any further.

Okie dokie I felt like this chapter was longer. It wasn't great but the best part of the story is coming so hang in there. Bye loves ♡
