Kakashi Pov

Once again Mei amazes me. She truly is my daughter. I'm so proud of her and how far she has come. It feels like just yesterday I was took her home for the first time and learned all about her life she had before I was into the picture.

I finally decided to get ready only a few hours before noon. I want to quickly get this over with. I highly doubt that any of them will get the idea of teamwork. Well other than Mei.

Grabbing my weapons, the lunch and the precious bells Sensei have left for me when it's my turn to lead a team. Now I was ready.

Leaving out the door we strolled through the village casually until we made it to the training grounds.

"YOUR LATE!!" Pinky and Sensei's son yelled at us. As rehearsed me and Mei replied.

"Well there was a black cat so we took the long way round." Then we scratched the back of our heads doing a closed eye smile. This was all Mei's idea to freak everyone out about her being my daughter. Just to say the reactions are worth it.

"Ok now let's get on with it." I pulled out a clock and set it on the stump. Already being set for noon.
"This clock is set for noon. You'll have until then to get these." I pulled out the two bells.

"Bells?" Pinkie asked in utter confusion. Here I thought she was the smartest koinochi in her class.
(I think I spelled that right, at this point my power cut off and so I can't look at google to check)

"Yes bells. You have to try and get the bells from me. If you do you pass."

"But Sensei! There's only two bells!"
I seriously just told her to get them and they pass. I never said one bell for each person. Maybe she's doing this on purpose for not liking Mei and Naruto. Oh well. I'll roll with it.

"And if you don't get them you get sent back to the academy. Mei, your not participating because you already did this test. Use your weapons and come at me with the intent to kill."

"Sensei! Those weapons are dangerous!"

"Sakura shut the hell up!! Dad is not only a Jounin but he is also an ex Anbu captain! Now shut your trap, don't complain and get on with your life!" Mei finally snapped. This only happens when something starts to bug her immensely.

"Now when I say 'start' you may begin with the test."

Naruto pulled out a kunai and twirled it in his fingers. Swiftly getting a grip he runs at me head on with the intent to kill. With out much effort I groped his wrist, pulling him around pointing it at his own head.

"Well you came at me with the intent to kill... I guess I'm starting to like you guys. Now START!"

Mei Pov

I sat down at the stump meditating. I know for a fact that they won't get it. They won't understand the concept of teamwork. I even made shadow clones to ask them each individually, although I know that it will fail and that two out of three will insult me. That's why before we came here I talked dad into giving them a second chance to get it. How? I told them it would be unfair to a legit misfit team. Naruto would continue to attack head on and use shadow clones but not efficient enough. Sakura would end up in a genjutsu and run off to find Sasuke. Finally Uchiha, his arrogance will be the end of him, he will do decent but if he had worked with the others they would have at least gotten one bell. In other words they need a real reality check if they want to continue their careers as ninja.

Over time the bell finally rang and the others have arrived. They failed as predicted and the help of my clones giving me their memories.

"Well I have to say that the three of you..."

"We pass?!? But all I did was faint!"

"We PASSED! WE PASSED!"

"Hn."

"All three of you... FAILED! Did you guys even understand the concept of the test?"

"I tried to ask you that in the beginning..."

"It was so easy! All genin teams get this concept without even trying! The answer is TEAMWORK! None of you considered to work with each other! Mei who want even suppose to take the test tried to get you guys to work with each other! What did you do? You refused and insulted her! Naruto! Even though you know an A rank jutsu you didn't use it to its full potential. You kept on saying you needed to do it by yourself to be Hokage! Even Hokages needed their teammates! Sakura! Naruto was right next to you and you ignored him! You just ran around yelling looking for Sasuke! You even insulted your teammate who asked you to work all together. Sasuke! You were the worst out of all them, because of your arrogance you thought everyone was beneath you. You saw your teammates in trouble but you turned a blind eye! If you three had used teamwork you would have passed regardless if you have gotten a bell or not. Naruto your going to be tied to the stump, since you tried to cheat. Don't give him any food. I decided that I'll give you one more chance but it will be harder than before. I'm your superior, you listen to me."

Then dad left in a proof of smoke. Poof~~

"It's okay guys! I can last for days without food!" Growl~~

I giggled at Naruto. That was pretty funny, such an irony.

"Here! Have some.." Sasuke offered some of his lunch to Naruto.

"But Sasuke! He said don't give Naruto any!"

"It's fine, I don't sense him here. Eat. If Naruto doesn't eat he will become a loose end."

After that, Sakura ended up helping Naruto too and we used 'teamwork'. Without them actually realizing it.

"YOU!!"

"Ahh!!!"

"Pass."

"Those who don't follow the rules are trash but those who don't help their comrades are worse that trash."

And that's the start of team 7.
