As the two of you walked, you soon found yourselves lost. You sighed. "This facility is so huge. I should've known we would've gotten lost." You said in an apologetic tone to 049. "It's not your fault. It's not like they could pack a whole tour of the building with all the work they have on their hands." Somehow, hearing him say that made you feel better. You two walked and soon came to a room with a medkit, a sample of SCP-500, and, to your advantage, a navigator. You quickly grabbed the navigator and SCP-500. But, not the medkit. You'd be fine with the Plague Doctor right next to you. Clicking the navigator on, you huffed. The darn thing needed new batteries. "This isn't very helpful." You mumbled under your breath. Looking up at 049, you tried to smile brightly at him, to reasure him that everything was fine. That's when you remembered. You put the batteries that you did have into your radio. He nodded at you. You two walked for a while before you came upon a door. Opening it, you realized who this belonged to. Hesitantly, you opened the door to the observation room. It wasn't on it's pedistal. No. It was... on a man's face! He stood and turned to look at you with that twisted smile. "Oh, thank god! Someone actually found me! I thought I was done for a minute there-" He chuckled. You could almost feel the man's eyes boring into your skull. Then he looked over to 049. "I see you've made a friend. Nice. You're gonna need that guy 'round here. 'Specially when it comes to dealing with guys like me." 035 grinned a little wider. "Hey, Doc, I know you need that back room open. So here's the code: 5731. 5731, okay?" You entered the numbers into the panel, and lone behold, the door opened. "You- You didn't lie..." You quietly stated. He seemed to have heard you. "Why would I lie to a Doctor like yourself?" You went into the back room and picked up the sample of SCP-500-1. "Okay, Doc. Please, let me out. I can get you to the surface, along with 049." 035 pleaded. You walked out of the back room and, hesitantly, you reached for the lever. Pulling it, 035 chuckled. "Thank you. I can't take you with me, but I can tell you this. Gate A is your best chance at both of you getting out together. Good luck, you're really gonna need it." And with that, 035 walked out of his cell. 049 looked down at you. "What now, m'lady?" He asked. "We should take his advice, go to Gate A. Though, we'll need you covered." You stated. He nods. "Understandable. Shall we be off then?" He asks. You nod. "Indeed."
