"Come on Zane!" I yelled from the foyer. Being this close to Zane felt incredible, but what didn't feel incredible was Zane making us late.
"I'm coming Sunshine." He stayed true to his word and came jogging down the stairs. "You look great." He grinned and kissed my lips. "Now let's go win this race." In his pack, he has enough money but he still works. Racing is his job, it may be illegal but it's just another way he gets his money and as long as he's happy and content with it, then it's fine with me. Unless he's with another girl... "Babe, you know I wouldn't do that to you." I smiled and nodded, getting into his Bugatti.
"You think you'll win today?" I casually asked as we sped down the streets.
"I always win. I won you." He winked while I just rolled my eyes. "But yes, I got a few upgrades on the transmission and engine. Don't worry, I won't put you on the line again."
"Well, it does motivate you..." I trailed off and laughed at his reaction.
"Yeah because I don't want you to be with any other guy. It bugs me." He looked through the windshield as we pulled up to the place. "Oh, this one will be easy. He has a Ferrari." We both laughed and got out of the car.
"I think I'll sit this one out," I told Zane a few minutes later as he was getting ready to race.
"What? But I want you there with me. I need to know that you're okay." I smiled and kissed his lips.
"I'll be fine, just go." He hesitantly nodded and hopped into the car. "You better win this one though," I called after him making him smirk.
"For you Babe." He said through the mind link and revved his engine. The race soon started and the two cars sped off. Mika was keeping me company until Zane got back and he hasn't left my side once, until now. I suspect this was Zane's doing.
"I have to go take care of something. I'll be back." I nodded and looked around once he was gone.
"Slut." Some girl fake coughed next to me catching my attention.
"Excuse me?" The tall brunette turned towards me and laughed in my face.
"How much do you get for fucking Zane? A car? A house? Money?" I stepped back and furrowed my brows. I do get all those things but not because I'm sleeping with him.
"You don't even know me." I scoffed and crossed my arms over my chest.
"I know that you're just a little nerd." She laughed and flipped her long hair.
"Yeah," I agreed, taking a step towards her. "The Alpha's little nerd." She rolled her eyes and looked away, probably searching for her next victim. "He's my mate by the way. We have something you obviously never have had so just leave me the hell alone. Thanks." I said before turning on my heel and leaving.
Sorry, it took me so long to update, school just ended for me so I've been enjoying my summer. This chapter is just a short -again sorry- filler because the original chapter that I had written got deleted and, honestly I don't remember what I had written so here we are! Thanks for reading.
