Lola looked at the upside-down room with a frown, she was bored. Laying on her bed, at the end, and upside down wasn't exactly dulling the boredom. If anything, it was making her head hurt, a lot. But she was really, seriously, very, extremely bored. There was nothing to do here. One would think, because now there were other people present that that would be an opportune time to go and socialise. No, apparently not. Because most had come from the outside world, Lola couldn't help but roll her eyes, thinking this place was a separate piece of land from the rest of country, that they didn't wish to return to it just yet.
Because apparently most had had bad experiences out there and weren't ready to possibly cross paths with people who were likely to set a moment off, or something. Lola got it, she really did. She wasn't typically meaning to sound selfish by wanting to go out and not paying mind to other people's discomfort, but she always thought the best way to confront something was to literally face it. Apparently not.
Which just left her to being on her own, a few times her door had been knocked on. And she'd remained silent, happy that no one actually peeked around to see if she was present. Sitting about in her room, or theirs, or downstairs just sounded boring. That's all she had done since coming here. Sitting in various rooms, finding odd little things to pass the time, and help out with Hank.
The thought of him caused her eyes to shut, he had thrown himself into work, and honestly, Lola didn't know how much help she would've truly been in the long run, so she backed off. He didn't seem to mind, or care, or even notice because she hadn't seen him for a whole week. Okay, yes, she could've hunted him out, but really...so far, not to sound like a complete moody cow, she had been the one seeking him out.
"Whatever!" She sung while finally kicking her legs and rolling off the bed. She landed rather ungracefully on her bum with her legs sprawled out. Shaking her head slowly, she let blood flow return before diving under her bed to pull out her trainers. She was going out, with or without people. She was bored and this place was smothering her a little. She had nothing to do, and she would really like to visit the park.
So yes, with that all in mind she tugged her trainers on, pulled up her baseball socks and turned and walked out the door. Shoving her hands into her short pockets, she practically skipped along the corridor, the mere thought of freedom was quite nice really. Jumping down the stairs, she made it as far as the door before she double guessed and looked around, seeing no one present, she opened the door and walked out.
Sure, the walk was going to be a long one. But it wasn't like Lola wasn't used to walking. She had to do a heap load of it when she was travelling from one place to another when someone refused to give her a lift. Honestly, she spent more time walking than hitching an actual ride. She was totally fine with walking, it was sunny and warm, what wasn't to like about walking around in weather like this? Sure, her destination didn't seem like much when truly thought about it, but she liked the park. She liked people watching, not to sound like a total creep. She sort of missed it, in a way. She missed walking along a street and just seeing everyone busying themselves around, no one paid mind to her, even if she paid mind to them.
By the time she eventually got to where she wanted to be, she was relatively tired, but regardless she collapsed under her favourite tree and just relaxed. Seemed a bit strange to come all this way to sit under a tree, but whatever, it's what she wanted to do, and so help her she was going to do it. She shut her eyes and sighed, enjoying the sounds of chatter and children playing. She was more than content to just lay here taking solace in the peace and quiet, only when she heard distant shouting, she couldn't help but frown.
Slowly her eyes opened, she sat up and even ducked around the side of the tree. With a frown she watched some sort of rally. Her head tilted to the side confused over the fact that their rally seemed to be mutant based. By the looks on their faces Lola could tell well enough they weren't pro-mutant. She looked around, by now others had started paying attention. Their hurtful slander was getting attention, and what was worse it was getting people to join in.
