Part 1: finding out the truth
Finn P.O.V
BEEEEEEP. BEEEEEEEP. BEEEEEEP.
What the hell is the noise! Reaching my arm out and balling my fist I start pounding my bedside table waiting for the noise to stop. Finally after furious pounding (no pun intended) the horrendous screeching finally stop. Smiling at the sweet peace that descended into my room my eyes fluttered closed until the sound of my mothers sweet voice filled my ears. Note the sarcasm.
"FINNLY CHASE! GET YOUR LAZE ASS OUT OF BED BEFORE IT ENDS UP IN THE POOL!" I leapt out of bed knowing she was serious.
I've learnt the hard way a long time ago that my mum might seem like your small, gentle thirty-three year old. But believe me she is anything but gentle. Once I forgot to put my washing in the machine I ended up cleaning the patio, bathroom and kitchen. Yeah I can guess what your thinking, 'not that bad man up Finn!" It wasn't that bad... Until I opened my big gob and she made me clean it all with my tooth brush! MY TOOTHBRUSH! The sick lady got joy out of it.
Walking to my wardrobe I grabbed a white tee, black skinny jeans and my black high tops. Looking in my mirror I messed up my already messy dirty blonde hair. Satisfied I walked out of my room and too the kitchen to where my lovely mother is.
"Finn I'll be home late tonight so I'll be leaving you money to order dinner." I stared wide eyed. I didn't even make a noise! How did she know?! "If your wondering how I knew you where there I smelt your deodorant from here." My mouth made a 'o'.
"So who's the guy?" I asked p, just to wind her up. She stopped what she was doing for a fraction of a second. If it wasn't my mum I would've missed it but as it is I notice instantly.
"You've gotta be kidding me!" I yelled dropping my drink.
"Fin it's just for dinner! It's not like I'm marrying him!" She yelled back her blonde her framing her piercing grey eyes.
"Yeah you would know all about marriage wouldn't you mother after your marriage too my dad! Wait you weren't married weren't you! You just forgot about him and replace him with some other asshole!" I burst not being able to control myself.
"Sixteen years Finn! He's gone and he ain't coming back ok! He's dead to me! He betrayed me hurt me all while I was pregnant with you! He's dead to me! I'm moving on!" She took a deep breath and carried on. "You better get to school." With that I stormed out fuming with my mum.
* LATER AT SCHOOL **
"FINN!"
"What!?" I screamed snapping out of my day dream.
"You ok man? You keep zoning out on us." My best mate Ash asked giving me a concerned look. I nodded vacantly. The argument between me and my mum bothering me. We never argued liked that. She's, and I'm not afraid to say it, my best friend and I love her. I just don't want some ass hurting her.
I was about to answer when all hell broke loose. Crashing through the wall was a giant. It stood about ten feet tall and wearing rags for clothes. This thing is built like a tank. The thing stood there looking round until I locked its beady eyes on me. My blood went cold.
"Ash run...." I whispered.
"What?" I was about to tell him again when the giant grabbed part of the wall ready to throw it at us.
"RUN!" Pushing him we bolted for the lunch rooms door. Just as the door closed half the wall came crashing through, missing us by inches.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT THING!" Ash shouted fear laced every word.
"I HAVE NO FREAKING CLUE! ALL I KNOW IT WANTS US SO GET TO MY CAR NOW!" I'd dunno what I plan on doing after we get in my car but all I know is that we need to stay alive for the time being.
Looking behind me I saw the giant come crashing down the hallway like a bulldozer. We have no hope of out running this thing. Turning a corner we stopped dead in our tracks. A dead end. Dread filled me. Turning round to take a different route, we saw it blocked by the hideous giant. The thing made its way towards us, gurgling something incoherent.
"το αίμα σου είναι δικός μου ημίθεος" strangely enough I understood it. "Your blood is mine demigod." I froze. That's not good.
"What did he just say?" Ash asked in a small voice. I don't think it's good if I tell him the truth so I played dumb.
"I'm not sure mate... Just stay still ok." I saw him nod in the corner of my eye. Right confession time. Yes I'm a demigod but I dunno how to fight or have a weapon. Nor do I know what this thing is. I was about to do something when a male voice came out of no where.
"Don't make any sudden movements... These types of giants are slow and dumb.... Any sudden noise will freak it." I looked at the male voice.
He had raven black hair and tanned skin. He seemed to be my height, and looks to be in his early thirties. But what got me was his eyes. They were green, sea green like mine. Above all that his voice sounded similar. I was about to say something when he suddenly leapt forward and stabbed the giant with a bronze sword. How did I not notice that?! As soon as it started it ended. The giant now a pile of golden ashes.
"That giant must be the most-" I cut the guy off.
"Do I know you?" He spun and looked at me. At first he harboured a scowl, soon his face changed to one of recognition.
"Finn?" I looked at him.
"I'll ask one more time... Who are you and how do you know my name!?" I shouted getting pissed. He was about to answer when a voice shouted:
"GET AWAY FROM HIM!"
