The entire class was outside the bus, waiting impatiently to get going. Only a certain few weren't complaining, and that was Mariko, Kami, and a few others. "Alright littlins!" Mrs. Takamura said cheerfully. "Pick a buddy and get on the bus!" Kami instantly grabbed Mariko's hand. "Hey! I wanted to be Mariko's buddy!" Kendall suddenly shrieked, wanting to be with her crush. Mariko rolled his eyes. "Im already with Kami, Kendall. Find someone else." "He is right sweetie, you'll have to find someone else." Mrs. Takamura said. "No! I want to be with Mariko!" Kendall shrieked, beginning to pitch a fit. Mariko facepalmed. "This is exactly why I don't want to be with you..You act like a baby because you can't handle not getting your way!" Kendall stopped screaming and looked up at Mariko. "H-huh..?" "I don't want to be friends with a spoiled little brat like you. Grow up already, and I might consider being your friend. But from what Ive seen from you, no thanks. Im quite content with my friend Kami. He's much nicer than you."

Kendall was on her feet in seconds, and aimed a punch at Kami; but Mariko jumped in the way. The brute force of Kendall's punch knocked him off his feet and onto the ground. Kami immediately knelt down to his friend, glaring at Kendall; who looked shocked. "Sensei! Kendall just punched Mariko!" another student exclaimed loudly. Mrs. Takamura looked upset. "You can't be hitting your classmates honey." she said. "Im sorry, but I can't take you with us with that behavior." "W-what?! No! I want to go!" Kendall shrieked, as Kami was attempting to comfort Mariko; who was crying and holding his cheek. "Its ok Mari, don't be upset.." He said, rubbing his friend's back. Mariko sniffled in reply as Kami gently made him look up at him. Then, in a sudden sweet gesture, Kami sweetly kissed Mariko gently on his red cheek. Mariko's tears ceased, and he smiled. "Thanks Kami." "Sure thing!" Kami laughed, helping his friend back up. They got on the bus, picked a seat toward the back, and cuddled up to one another until they both fell asleep.

"Roll call! Everyone knows the drill!" Mrs. Takamura said. "Ayame?" a girl said she was present. "Nikki?" a boy responded. After a few more names, she finally said, "Mariko?" Mariko made no reply, since he and Kami were cuddled up and asleep. "Mariko?" Mrs. Takamura said as she walked down to them, checking each seat until she came up to them; finding both boys asleep. "Awe, how sweet." she smiled. "Children, if you do feel sleepy, go ahead and take a little cat nap like Mariko and Kami."

The bus started off, making both boys wake up. "Mm..?" Mariko mumbled before letting out a loud yawn, while Kami rubbed his eyes. They both settled back down, and went back to sleep; cuddling with one another again.
