Once Marcel and Edmund were on the watch tower, Edmund began giving us the signal. Peter, Susan, Caspian, Trumpkin, and I all rode through the air as griffins carried us. To be honest, I was little freaked out since I was underneath the griffin and I was scared it would drop me, but I had to trust the griffin in order for this plan to work.
As we rode through the air, Caspian and his griffin dove down to another one of the towers. He held onto one of the griffins hands as he took out his sword. The soldier on the tower just turned around before Caspian swung his sword and the soldier fell. The griffin pulled Caspian back up and we kept going. As we got to the bridge we were going to land on, we saw one of the soldiers aiming his bow at Edmund. Susan was quick to take out her bow and shoot the soldier. The soldier fell to the ground as we landed on the bridge. Peter pulled out his sword and took out the other guard. The rest of us pulled out our weapons as we made our way to the other side of the bridge. Caspian used a rope to climb down the side of the bridge to a door. Peter climbed down after him quickly.
"Professor?" I heard Caspian whisper as Peter helped me down the rope.
Caspian picked the lock and opened the door. After Peter helped me down the rope, we walked inside the room behind Caspian. There were books all over the room, and I could tell that this was his professor's office. It looked exactly like he described it. Susan and Trumpkin walked into the office as Caspian picked up a pair of glasses from the desk.
"I have to find him." Caspian said to us.
"You don't have time. You need to get the gate open!" Peter argued with him.
"You wouldn't be here without him! And neither would I." Caspian said. Peter sighed before looking over at me. I gave him a small smile, hoping that would give him some reassurance that everything would be fine.
"The three of us can deal with Miraz." I told him, referring to me, him, and Susan.
"And I can still get to the gate in time." Caspian tried to reason with him.
After a moment, Peter finally nodded his head once. Caspian and Trumpkin both ran out of the room one way while Peter, Susan, and I ran the other way. We ran up a flight of stairs and down the hallways as quietly as we could. Peter held his arm in front of me to stop me when he heard a noise behind a door to our left. Susan took out her bow and I took out my sword while Peter gripped the door handle. He counted down to us quietly before bursting through the door. We all had our weapons held high, ready to attack, but the room turned out to be a nursery. It had lots of small toys and a crib inside. We walked over to the crib slowly and there was a baby inside that started to whimper.
"Where did that come from?" Peter asked us.
"Oh my." I said underneath my breath. Did Peter really not know about this?
"Mom never had that talk with you.." Susan said as she looked up at her brother.
"Put the sword down, Caspian!" We heard a woman say from behind the door across from us. The three of us ran out of the room and I quietly shut the door so I wouldn't wake up the baby.
"I don't want to do this." The woman said.
"We don't want you to either!" Susan said as the three of us charged into the room. Susan pointed her bow at the woman, who had a crossbow pointed at Caspian, who had his sword pointed at Miraz. It was like a chain of pointed weapons.
"This used to be a private room." Miraz said annoyed.
"What are you doing? You're supposed to be in the gatehouse!" Peter said to Caspian. A sigh escaped my lips. I knew this plan would go wrong.
