Once Koro-sensei and Irina left, that gave Sugino a chance to talk to me. He sat down and explained the current conditions of Kaede and that she safely and successfully finished her surgery.

"T-that's great news..." I gleamed with the heavy weight off my chest. "I'm glad that's she is alright."

"Yeah, quite a scare wasn't it?" He leaned back, "I wouldn't know what do to if something more grave had happen." He said.

"Let's not think about it that way. What's important is that she's okay." With the inflection of my voice, he smiled.

"So what did the doctor say?" Sugino pointed at my IV drip. "Nothing severe right?"

"Well..." I trailed off.

"Come on, spill it." He crossed his arms, "can't have both my ladies getting injured now can I?" He forced a tease, "please tell me."

Of course I want to tell you but how does one randomly just say it? Plus, it's unnatural. The only time Karma and I embraced each other so passionately was the night before I lost him. Something must of delayed the process within me and as of now the child is progressive on the ultrasound.

"Sugino, will you be able to brace yourself?" I asked. He looked at me concerned and leaned forward towards me. He nodded his head.

"I can take it." He assured.

"Sugino you see..." I rubbed my stomach, "I'm planning on eating for two people for now on." I lightly ignored the actually response with something more subtle. Of course right away, he knew.

"N-Nagisa! That's!" He bolted out of his chair. "B-but how?! I'm happy for you! But how?! When?! Who?!" He questioned frantically.

"Remember back then when I told you that I loved someone else?" I brought up.

"That strange guy with red hair? Yes." He nodded.

"He's the father." I added.

"Tsk, Nagisa. I never thought you would be the one to start a family first. With your nose in those studies and all." He playfully teased. "Did you call him here? Is he coming soon?"

My heart dropped instantly.

"Yo, you look pale. You okay?" He asked.

"Y-yeah, I'm good." I assured.

"So about the guy, he's coming right?"
I hesitated to speak.

"Don't tell me he's not coming to see you?"

"I don't think he can, not for awhile." I explained. "H-he has his reasons. He doesn't even know that I'm pregnant in the first place."

"That's not right! What kind of man-" Sugino stopped short and became angry.

It's not Karma's fault that he doesn't know. What can I even do about it?

"Please don't do anything rash. I understand how you feel but but he simply can't. Please Sugino, calm down for me okay?" I grabbed his forearm lightly.

"Tsk. Fine. But when he does come, I'll still give him a piece of my mind." He patted my head.

"You don't have to but thanks." I giggled.
