Sometimes I think people are doubtful. They don't believe in others as much as they should and because of that people feel as though they can't do what they always wanted. In some cases it just makes the person that much more determined to do what they believe they were made to do. Others well they start to believe their doubters and stop following their dreams and just quit before they even try. I'd like to consider that every person in the world wants to follow the first option, but they don't have a high tolerance for defeat. You never truly know who has this "high tolerance" until you see how their life turned out.
"Well since one person in our class has gotten very familiar with our new student, I would like the rest of the class to meet the new student, Liam."
He smiled at the class and did a little wave. Some girls blushed and others pretended not to be fazed by him. The guys just did their little head nod thing while trying to scope him out. While I saw a certain Rachelle actually check him out a little. I just chucked to my self thinking to how I was going to tease her about it at lunch.
"What's so funny sweetheart," Liam said now looking back at me.
"None of your business nosey," I said back turning towards the board.
"You know you would think you would be nicer to me being that your sitting on MY lap on MY first day of school in a whole new town"
"You know I heard a lot of MY in that statement, maybe you should you work on not being so self centered" I said back.
"Ms. Jessabelle it would be very beneficial for me and the entire class if you and your little boyfriend over there would stop talking," Mr. Wells said looking at us.
"One day I'll get there Mr. Wells sir, as soon as I tame that big mouth of hers,"'he said. Mr. Wells just sighed and turned back to the board and continued to teach.
"Yeah keep dreaming pretty boy," I said to him now trying to pay attention to Mr. Well's lesson.
"Every night sweetheart," he said to me.
The first half of my classes were over pretty quickly and soon it was time for lunch. I walked into the cafeteria looking for Rachelle or Lydia to sit with. I looked towards the left to see the newbie, Liam already sitting with some of jerks and cock headed guys considered to be the "popular guys that every girl wanted." He glanced over at then quickly got up and walked over to me.
"You know sweetheart someone once told me that it's rude to stare," he said smirking at me.
"Yeah, maybe you should take their advice," I said still looking for my friends.
"I think you should have to pay for your rudeness today in classroom and for how your treating me right now"
"Yeah sure whatever you want," I said not really paying attention to what he was saying.
"Okay then in return for your rudeness, I would like to go out on a date with you," he said to me.
"No way in hell," I said to him now snapping out of my trance and actually listening to what he's saying.
"But you said that you would whatever I said to repay for your rudeness"
"Yeah cause I thought you meant do your homework for a week, or let you copy of me in class," I said to him.
"But all those are boring sweetheart, I want to go on a date with you," he said smirking.
"Look here newbie there are a lot of nice girls in this school who love to go on a date with you," I said gesturing towards some girls at a table who were staring at him. "Trust me go up to them and give a smile, they'll be bucking at their knees for you," I said waving to Rachelle and Lydia walking away.
