CHAPTER VIII:
His promise

Error's POV

Everything around me seemed to blur the moment I opened the book. The surroundings were hardly seen and it felt I've been wiped away from existence. It's blurs began to be more of a fog, then it was gone and replaced by pure darkness.

The ground shook and then everything else crumbled to pieces. It felt like I was being devoured by darkness and escaping wasn't an option, but a forbidden choice. It was terrifying how a book could be something you could be afraid of. But then, the feeling of being enveloped in an abyss is somewhat soothing. The feeling of being caged in silence was rather comforting. The feeling of being at peace was something I could always get used to; in fact, I never felt comfortable until I saw this book- rather a journal.

The feeling soon washed away and I was standing- no, I was floating- whilst watching a huge screen in front of me. Did the book do this or something seemed to just glitched? My thoughts were swirling and I couldn't seem to focus on what's in front of me.

Then the thoughts came to a halt. The huge screen in front of me began to play. The scene was set on the exact same place I was a while ago. There were words that I could somehow read which surprised me because it was written in an unknown yet familiar words.

Then it made me wonder how much I knew even without me being aware of It. I focused my attention to the huge screen and the bunch of words that played out below It. It was like watching a movie of yourself played in a huge theatre.

Then, there was the same boy. This time though, it wasn't through my perspective. It was like telling a story of yourself to yourself. Describing who you are in 3rd person view. He began playing with... a little version of me?
Now that is just confusing. Is it my child? I never had one so it couldn't be.

Then they were now playing- running around like the little children they are. The little version of me fell and the boy ran to him, picking him up and carrying him bridal style. It was almost amusing to me how someone like him could deal with a person like me- even play with me that is.

"I'm sorry... I should've been more careful, I always forget your vision isn't the same as mine." The other boy said. He was slightly taller than me. His clothes were the same as Fresh's clothes. The way he spoke was exactly like him.
"Oh.. it's okay.. I really am the one should've been more careful. I'm not looking where I'm going."

The way they spoke was so heart-warming. It felt like there were strings tugging at my heart making them melt at their gentle and sweet touch and it was such a good feeling to be enveloped in. The warmth felt so welcoming and I never did want it to end- and so I enjoyed it while I still can.

Then the screen went blank, switching to another scene with the same person. "I thought you left me..." Little Error said, his eyes were soaked in tears and his cheeks were flushed in tiredness. His face was a mess, sort of reminds me of what I look like whenever I cry.

"I never left you. I'm sorry... I should've been there."

Then everything went blank.
I saw nothing.

I heard voices, voices that sounds exactly like the voice that I have now.

"Promise me one thing..."
He said.

"Whatever it is, I'd promise..."

Then I woke up.

I look around me, trying to find the abyss I saw in my dreams- rather a memory. I look around  desperately, and yet nothing seems to be appearing where I want them to be. It's just the same field of grass enclosed with the galactic beauty above me- no, above us. Fresh groaned, his eye-sockets looking a little tired which reminded me of myself. His eyes twitched, shoulders tensed, and body soaking-wet with sweat beads. Then- and only then- did I realize he was having a nightmare.
