"I'm kind of worried about Y/n," Ally said.

"Why?" Dinah asked, looking around the room for said genius. "Is she not here?"

"No," Ally replied, glancing over at Y/n's empty desk. "She texted to say she was taking the day off since we don't have a case. They both looked over at the pile of paperwork on Y/n's desk. It was odd for her to leave work unfinished.

"I texted her back," Ally continues, "to ask her if everything was okay. She never answered me."

"That's unlike her," Normani chimed in. "Do you think someone should go and check on her?"
The three of them looked at each other for a moment.

"Maybe we should," Ally said finally, reaching for her coat.

"Normani, you coming?" Normani nodded her head affirmatively.

"Where are you guys going?" Lauren asked.

"We're going to check on Y/n," Normani replied. Lauren frowned.

"Why? What's wrong?" She asked. They explained the situation to her and Lauren reached for her coat as well.
"I'll go with you," She said.

I was snuggled up close to Y/n, her warm, bare skin pressed against mine. I looked up at her, her eyes closed and her lashes brushing up against her cheeks. She looked so peaceful in the morning light. Y/n had always been so reserved and shy, but our first night together had been way more than I had expected. We certainly hadn't planned on staying up all night, but before we knew what had happened, the sun was rising over the horizon. Y/n had texted to let her colleagues know that she wouldn't be in to work, and then she had fallen asleep.

As for me, I was too exhilarated by our first night together to sleep. Y/n and I had been dating for six months, and we'd spent countless nights crashing at each other's houses, even sleeping in the same bed after watching a bunch of movies or losing track of time because we were lost in conversation.

I'd been happy with that, but even happier with how the night before had turned out.

Y/n mumbled in her sleep and snuggled closer to me. I smiled slightly at her, and I was lost in thought when a sharp, distant rap on the door. I didn't want to wake Y/n if I didn't have to, so I quickly slipped out of bed and pulled on the first thing I saw.

It was one of Y/n's thin, threadbare tee shirts, soft from wear. I glanced back at Y/n, and then headed for the door. There was another knock, and when I opened it, there were three people on the other side, all of whom stared at me as if I had grown a second head.

"Hi," I said. "Can I help you?"

"Um, uh," stammered the blonde. She looked between me and the others with her.

"Who are you?" asked the dark-haired woman.

"I'm Camila," I replied. "Are you here for Y/n? She's asleep right now."

"Yeah, we are here for Y/n," answered the raven-head girl who was with them. "Sorry, I still don't understand. Is that Y/n's shirt?" She asked. I glanced down and nodded.

"Yeah," I replied. "Do you guys work with Y/n/n?"

They all nodded, and suddenly everything made sense. Y/n had told me she didn't want her team to know about us yet, but neither of us had ever imagined they would show up at the door.

"I'm her girlfriend," I began, and then turned at the sound of footsteps behind me. Y/n was standing there, staring at me in her tee shirt, and her team past me in the hallway.

"Y/n," said the blonde. "Hi."

"Um, hi..." Y/n said slowly, approaching us. She came to stand behind me, one long-fingered hand resting on my shoulder.

"What are you guys doing here?" She asked.

"We were concerned about you," came the answer from the dark-haired woman. "You didn't answer Ally's text, and it's unlike you to stay home from work, even if we don't have a case," she explained.

I felt Y/n soften slightly behind me.

"Thanks, guys, but I'm fine," She said. Glancing at me, she added, "Obviously."

"We're really sorry, Y/n," giggled the blonde. "But, now that we're here, you want to introduce us?"
Y/n smiled slightly.

"Camila, this is Lauren Jauregui, Normani Kordei, or Mani, and Ally Brooke. Guys, this is Camila Cabello, my girlfriend," She said.

"It's really nice to meet you guys," I said. "Although this isn't exactly how I would have chosen to do it."

"Well, I guess we learned our lesson about messing around in Y/n's business," Normani remarked.

"Well, I can tell you one thing," Lauren began with a grin in Y/n's direction, "Dinah is going to have a field day with this one."
