"T-thanks papa!" She smiled and hugged him. Her father's words had completely changed her thoughts from negative and gloom to happy and optimistic. Both of the Hatakes heard the footsteps and chatter of kids begin to fill the hallways and the small Hatake panicked. "Papa! Your mask!" she yelled as she pulled his mask up hiding the lower part of his face.
"Alright kiddo, show them what a true ninja is," He said as he ruffled her hair. "But if any guy comes near you... Well, you know what to do. Bye! " he said as a puff of smoke appeared where the silver haired man used to stand.
(Y/n) smiled and began to look for a place to sit. A spot near the window appealed to her so she walked to the third set of desks and sat in the middle desk near the window. She looked outside and saw all the kids walking. Suddenly, she was filled with nothing but nervousness. So many people, strangers, would gather around her and judge her for her every action, deeming her as a friend or enemy.
'Maybe I can just not go to the academy. Papa is the best teacher, he can just continue teaching me!... N-no (Y/n)! Don't think like that. Papa trained you to be the best kunoichi in the Hidden Leaf! You can't give up now, you have to be strong! You have to make Papa pr-'
"You're in my seat," her thoughts were interrupted. She looked in the direction of the voice as her gaze wandered until her violet eyes met with onyx ones. Her gaze focused on his eyes but his hair had suddenly peaked her interest.
'Is that-? Yeah, I'd remember that duckbutt hair anywhere!'
The girl snapped out of her thoughts with a slight jump. She stood up and slightly bowed "Oh, I'm sorry," she said as she moved out the way. As (Y/n) began to walk to a different seat, She was stopped by a hand as it grabbed her wrist. She looked back to see the same boy.
"Wait, do I-" he began to say as another voice spoke up.
"(Y/n), come here," Iruka called.
The boy's eyes widened at the sound of a name he hadn't heard in a long time. One that he couldn't say without his heart dropping.
"Sorry, gotta go Sasu- I-I mean, bye!" She said as she got out of his grasp and ran towards her new sensei.
'How does she know my name?' As he started to walk over to (Y/n) he was stopped by a horde of fangirls surrounding him. Two of them stood out, a blonde and a pinky, they were more annoying than the rest. (Y/n) heard the commotion and turned back and saw the same sight from five years ago, a horde of girls surrounding Sasuke, constantly fighting for his attention.
The memories and his situation at the moment caused her to giggle the same way she did that same day, catching the Uchiha's attention once again."Ahem!" The teacher cleared his throat to catch the classes attention. But instead of their attention focusing on their sensei, it all went diverted towards the girl with (h/c) and violet eyes. Half of her face was covered by a mask just like her father's, making everybody curious to see what's under it.
"Everyone, this is (Y/n) Hatake. Treat her nicely and we won't have any problems," He said with a smile towards his class. "And so her dad won't kill me," the older man mumbled under his breath as his smiled turned into a frown.
(Y/n) had caught that last part and let out a small giggle, but loud enough for the class to hear. All the guys looked at her with a slight flush of pink covering their cheeks as the girls smiled thinking it was cute.
