I awake to the sight of a giant legged spider on my ceiling.  Of course, it is just my luck to wake up at the exact time it decides to take a webbed flight in the direction of my forehead. I am not having this today. I quickly reach to my bedside table, hurling my alarm clock at its ferocious body. The spider is in the perfect line of fire. The clock collides into the spider and crashes hard into the wall.   Just when I think the worst is over, I watch as the clock falls from the landing sight on the left side of the wall, and reveals a large hole that I had just created trying to kill a bug.
I throw my plaid violet and white comforter from my body and fling my legs to get enough momentum to help me stand up. It's hard for me to stand in the morning because I sleep in weird positions. It makes my legs fall asleep and go numb, but following this technique, I have found that it makes getting out of bed much easier.
I walk strangely to the hole I just created in the wall. My mother is not going to like this. The hole is about the size of a baseball, not too big. I'm sure I can figure out something to hide it with For the meantime. I waddle to my dresser and I dig through the drawer to find a roll of bacon duct tape to cover it up. I grab a chair in my room to reach the hole and start ripping the tape. It only takes a few pieces to realize that bacon was not a good choice of tape. I should have used the unicorn one.
After fixing the hole and getting ready for school, I run down the stairs to grab a piece of toast. My mother,Heather, is in the kitchen reading the paper from three days ago.
"Ahh look who's awake today!" My mother says happily. " How are you feeling sugar? Do you want some breakfast?"
"No thanks. I'm just going to make some toast for the road. I'm running late."
"Alright darling. Have a good day at school!  If you need anything, I'll be job searching all day. I suggest calling your father if you need something!"
"Alrighty. Bye mom!" I grab my bread from the toaster and rush out the door. As I close the door behind me, I take a deep breath and count to five.  Slow down. I tell myself.  Slow down.
