He woke up to the sound of beeping, with a shooting pain in his arms. "No," he said, "Why am I here?"

"Tyler!" Josh cried out ecstatically, "You're awake!"

"Where am I?" Tyler asked. Josh had replied with, "The hospital, you um, survived."

"What happened," Tyler asked even though he knew what happened. He had attempted suicide and he survived.

"You," Josh started, "You um, tried to, kill, yourself. Anyway, your mom called, a lot, so you should call her."

Tyler checked his phone, 8 missed calls, oh no, he thought. Mmmm! His phone vibrated as he called his mother. Oh God, Tyler thought as his mom answered.

Tylers Mom: Tyler, what were you thinking?! You could have died, leaving me just like your father did. You disobeyed God's order! Your siblings and I were worried sick, you also put poor Josh through Hell.

Tyler: (Silence)

Tylers Mom: Don't you dare ignore me!

Tyler: Bye, don't visit me, please. 

Tyler had hung up on his mother, bursting into tears. Josh walked out of the room, while he was on the phone. He could here Tyler sobbing all the way from the hallway. "Tyler," Josh said calmly while walking into the room, "What happened, you can tell me."

"She yelled at me, blaming me. Saying God hated me, and how I almost left her like my dad. Saying how I was an awful friend to you." Tyler told Josh, "The thing is, she was right, all of it. I treated you like crap, then put you through Hell trying to save me. Turned away from God, when I was taught to follow. Almost took her son away, from her and my siblings."

"Tyler, it's ok. That was not your fault, you were sad after your dad passed, and Jenna just put you over the edge. I'm still here for you, no matter what." 

"Josh," Tyler started. "I'm sorry, I broke our promise. I'm a piece of trash, I didn't deserve a second chance. I deserve to rot like the dead thing I am." Tyler started pulling the tubes out of his arm. "Stop!" Josh yelled. "You're gonna hurt yourself!" Tyler ran towards the door but stopped in his tracks when he heard these next words come from Josh's mouth. 

"Don't leave me again, I have no one, but you!" Josh yelled. "I have nothing, but, you." Josh broke into tears as Tyler fell to his knees.
