She has simply pushed away. Her ability to hear was still incompetent, all she could process was what she could see, the fire brigade members making her move back to the rest of her coworkers whilst they presumably put out the fire. She knew that everyone around her was asking her questions but she was too in shock to hear anything at this point. A faint black circle had begun to form around her vision, as well as losing the feeling in her arms and legs. She looked down at her hands to see a couple of cuts and bruises, however unable to feel them all the same. Looking back up, the fire was still fighting strong, plumes of smoke continue to rise up into the sky. Her eyes hadn't left this sight, despite knowing everyone around her was trying to get her attention she still continued to stare, as that is all she could do. Even if she was to utter a word, it wouldn't come out at all due to the fear and shock of the situation. It had only been around two or three weeks and it was already over. That was the only thought running through her brain. She regretted everything. The last thing she had properly said to him was in a snappy tone, and she hadn't really treated him all that well, to begin with, either. But she had still felt closer to him than anyone else before him. As much as this continued to run through her brain, the lapse in her vision only continued to grow, losing more and more of the final responding sense. Not long after this, she felt her head starting to ache quite significantly, as her vision slowly faded. The last thing she saw was on of the fire officers run out of the building, something draped over their shoulders. Mere seconds after this, everything faded to black as she fell down to the ground.

A bright white light was shining down onto Caitlin's body, being the first thing she saw as she came to her senses. She knew instantly where she was, being Central City hospital, lying in one of the hospital beds. Turning her head to the side Caitlin was presented with a certain doctor sat down on an armchair, moving her head up and looking towards Caitlin.

"Hey, you're awake. How are you feeling?" she asked, Caitlin sitting up slightly.

"What happened?"

"Don't worry about that for now, we just need to know how you are feeling," the doctor replied, clearly avoiding the question.

"I'm okay, but tell me what happened," Caitlin repeated, not remembering much from the previous day.

"There was a fire at your office. You got out but then fainted, presumably from shock."

Caitlin sat still for a minute, everything coming back to her. The smoke, the flames, the sparks.

Barry.

"Is he okay?" she whispered, still not being able to make out a fully fletched voice.

"Who do you mean?"

"Barry."

"If you are talking about Barry Allen, the truth is we don't know. But you shouldn't worry about that at the moment, we need to focus on getting you back up to health."

"I want to see him. Please, I feel fine, just let me see him."

"Miss Snow, it is part of the regulation that we take certain tests first. We can't let you leave this room until they are done."

"Well please get them finished quickly then," Caitlin replied, still not feeling great but desperate to know about Barry's condition. She felt worse about him than she had anything else before. She had left him there and that was something she would not be able to forgive herself for if he... didn't make it.

"Okay, first of all, how is your hearing?"

"Fine."

"Can you feel all of your limbs?"

"Yes," Caitlin lied, her left arm still feeling slightly numb but wanting to get out of this as soon as possible.

"Sight?"

"Perfect," she again lied in an effort to speed up the process.

"Okay, this is really good, you are lucky. I am just going to run a few scans, it will take about 5 minutes," the doctor continued, Caitlin laying her head back down on the pillow waiting for the entire process to be over.

After about 5 minutes, give or take some, everything had been finished, Caitlin immediately speaking up.

"Which room is he in?" she asked, sitting up in the bed.

The doctor let out a long sigh, before speaking up as well.

"It's the room directly right of this one. Just, remember you don't have to go there," she said, looking down at Caitlin, who stumbled to her feet as she temporarily lost balance but quickly gained the feeling back in her feet.

"Yes I do," she muttered, walking out of the room and immediately turning into the door to her right.

As she headed in, she noticed that there were 3 doctors all crowded around the bed, not seeming to be doing anything at the moment but just talking about something. They were all alerted to her attention as she walked in, requesting to have some time alone with him. All three came to an agreement, they headed out as Caitlin slowly shuffled over towards the bed, only to see Barry there. Except what she saw upset her greatly. One entire half of his chest had been burnt, a much crisper colour than the rest of his body. His face had many cuts and burns all over it, one of his arms wrapped in a cast, presumably broken. His eyes were shut, laying in a coma that was very obviously much worse than hers had been. All that Caitlin could think to do was sit down beside him, placing her hand on his to just give herself some hope that he may get through this. It didn't look like that was a very good chance in her favour, either. But she still wanted to have hope. She knew for a fact that she felt awful about everything that had happened. The way she had treated him. The way she had left him, it was something she could never forgive herself for, especially if he never woke up.

"I'm so sorry Barry," she whispered to herself, before saying something else.

"I know I haven't been the best person ever. I wish I had been so much better around you, I really do. I care for you more than I do anyone else, and honestly I don't know where I will be in the future without you. You care about me so much than I'm used to people caring, and it really means so much to me. I'm so sorry Barry, I really am," she trailed off, a few years rolling over her cheeks.

As she was looking away, she felt something move against her hand, looking over at it to see Barry's hand now clasped around her hand, his fingers having interlocked with hers.
