Avi's POV

"Avi..." Kevin began, then paused, uncertainty evident in his tone. Avi held his breath in anticipation. He felt his hands begin to tremble and his heart rate speed up dramatically when Kevin didn't continue speaking. What if Kevin didn't like him? What if he said the kiss was a mistake? Avi began to panic.

"... I like you," Kevin stated. Avi exhaled in relief, and felt the tension melt away. Kevin liked him! Avi was cheering internally, but didn't want to get his hopes up too much, he had to let Kevin finish, but he couldn't help the small smile that crept onto his face.

"I really like you, and... that in itself is really confusing to me. Listen Avi, until I met you what... four days ago? I was one hundred percent sure that I was straight. I liked girls, heck, I still like girls! Until a few days ago, I had never even entertained the thought that I could like another man... and then I met you," Kevin continued.

Avi was listening intently to every word coming out of Kevin's mouth. The man was confessing his feelings, and Avi admired his bravery, as it was no easy thing.

"It's hard to explain," Kevin said, "but there is something special about you. I just can't seem to get you out of my mind... and when I'm near you, or when we touch... it's indescribable. I've never had feelings this strong for anyone before in my entire life," Kevin continued. "When we are together... it just feels... right somehow. Does that make any sense to you? I feel like I'm rambling," Kevin finished, his voice becoming muffled near the end, as if he had his face buried in his hands or something.

Avi knew he had to say something, it was his turn after all. He took a deep breath, "Kev, I get it, I really do," he replied, smiling. "That first night we met I knew that there was something special about you. That's why I was so nervous and everything... I ... I felt something... a connection... or ... or something," Avi mumbled, trying to form coherent sentences out of his jumbled thoughts. "I really like you, and... and I have no idea what I'm doing." Avi rolled onto his back and dragged his hands down his face in frustration. "I've never been in a relationship with a guy before either, but... I ... I kind of... maybe... think I'm bi-sexual?" his voice jumped an octave at the end. Avi really hadn't even figured out what he was, all he knew was he liked Kevin, and Kevin was a guy.

"Well I know there is something between us because I've wanted to kiss you since yesterday, but I wasn't sure if you would be okay with it or not," Kevin replied. Avi could tell he was smiling. "I guess that makes me bi-sexual as well," Kevin added, seeming almost shocked at the revelation himself.

"So, what do we do now?" Avi asked, putting his hands behind his head and closing his eyes. "I've never been in a relationship with a guy before," Avi paused, "I actually haven't been in a relationship longer than a couple months since my girlfriend back in high school, and that was only six months!" Avi admitted, slightly embarrassed by his obvious lack of experience. Avi suddenly realised that he may be jumping to conclusions rather quickly. Did Kevin even want a relationship?

He sat up and turned to face Kevin, worried that he was moving way too fast. He knew he got deep quickly, and he didn't want to freak Kevin out or drive him away or smother him!

"I... I mean, you... we don't..." Avi had to calm down, he took a breath, "we don't have to start a relationship right away... or at all... if...if you..." Avi stammered, unable to voice his thoughts properly in his panic.

Avi heard Kevin chuckle quietly, then felt a hand settle on top of his hand on the rug. "Avi it's ok," Kevin said reassuringly, "I honestly would like nothing more than to be with you," Avi smiled as Kevin took Avi's hand in his and squeezed it gently. "I just want to make sure that we aren't rushing into things. It seems like neither of us have much experience as far as relationships go, and I would hate to destroy what we have before it even begins," Kevin added.

Avi nodded quickly, "I get it," he sighed. "We should take things slow... get to know each other better..."

"Exactly," Kevin replied, letting go of Avi's hand. Avi's heart sunk a little. Avi was pretty sure that he was falling in love with Kevin, and he thought that, just maybe... Kevin could be feeling the same way? No... stupid Avi! Why on earth would someone as smart and funny and perfect as Kevin choose to be with him?! He could do so much better...

"Avi?" Kevin asked, dragging him out of his thoughts. "Are you okay?"

Avi wasn't okay. "Yeah, I'm... I'm fine. Just thinking," he replied, trying not to let Kevin see that he was disappointed.

"Alright, that's good... because I have something I want to ask you," Kevin said cryptically. Avi frowned when he heard Kevin shuffling around on the rug, before the larger man settled right in front of Avi. What was happening?

"Avi, will you be my boyfriend?" Kevin asked, a touch of nervousness present in his usually confident voice.

Avi gulped, and felt his bottom lip begin to tremble. Kevin... wanted him? As his boyfriend? Avi felt his emotions go into overdrive, he was so happy and relieved and... he was determined not to cry!

"Yes, definitely yes," Avi replied nodding furiously and grinning excitedly. Avi crawled forward and fell into Kevin's waiting arms, hugging the bigger man with everything he had. Kevin's strong arms held him lovingly in return and Avi felt truly happy.

After what must have been almost a full minute of hugging, Kevin pulled back and pressed his lips to Avi's once again in a tender kiss. Avi couldn't have been any happier.

Kevin's POV

Pressing his lips to Avi's, Kevin tried to convey his feelings of affection and devotion and maybe... something deeper in the future. The gorgeous, sweet, remarkable man in front of him was finally his.

Kevin smiled as he broke the kiss, and pulled back, still holding onto the smaller man. Avi was grinning from ear to ear and his eyes were shimmering with tears of happiness.

"You know..." Avi said shakily, trying to regain his composure, "You never did finish describing my dragon!"
