Quiet nights

I jump up, waking up covered in sweat.

Another bad dream..

I look around my bedroom, and check the time.

12:02Am

Sneaking out to the lair sounds like an idea. Maybe Raph can clear my head from it...

I pack up somethings in my backpack, and slip on my shoes, i think I'll be there for a while.

Maybe Casey's with them.

I walk through the hall, and to Casey's room, to see if he wants to come.

I make my way through his messy room to him bed, to see he's not there.

Okay, plan B. I go without him.

As i walk into the lair, it's a little too quiet, besides the t.v. showing chris bradford's t.v. show.

"Hmm.. Raph? Casey?" I call out, gripping my backpacks straps.

I walk to raphs bedroom.

Empty.

I walk to Donnies lab.

Nobody.

Mikeys bedroom.

nobody.

I walk back into the lounge, and see master splinter, giving me a heart attack.

Geez.

"Morning (y/n), what are you doing here so early? Shouldn't you be at home, asleep?"

I shrug.

"I just couldn't sleep i guess."

He nods, accepting my answer.

"If you are looking for my sons, they are on patrol, they'll be on if for 5 more hours. But you may welcome yourself to whatever you want here."

I nod.

"Thanks."

As he turns his back, and starts walks walking to the dojo.

"Just don't break anything."

I nod again.

"Thanks."

After playing with Mikeys videogames for a half and hour, i decide to go out and buy some pizza.

Hopefully I'll run into the guys.

After walking out of the pizza shop, i get swept off my feet, literally .

I close my eye's out of fear, and feel strong arms holding me bridal style.

I open my eye's to Raph, putting me down and looking back at where i was, as he fixed his graveling hook.

"Sweet she's got pizza!" I hear mikey shout from behind raph.

I roll my eye's, smirking.

"What's going on?"

I ask.

Casey, standing behind raph, speaks up.

"We were on patrol, And Raph spotted ya." He puts his gloved hands on his hips.

Raph stands, and so do i.

"Thought we could use the company." He smirks.

From behind him, i spot Leo roll his eye's.

Raph and everyone sits and starts eating pizza. On the roof top. At 2am.

Whatever.

I bite my slice of pizza.

As me, Raph ad casey talk about the city.

"Hmm. Have you been there?" I point to a weapon shop.

Raph shakes his head no.

Casey jumps in

"dude! They have amazing looking sai! It's so radical!"

I nod,
"yeah i saw a cool looking tonto blade!"

He smiles and nods as i talk about the blade.

And then a thin, feminine figure, jumps in front of us all.

We all stand, everyone ready with their weopons.

She steps closer, the city lights revealing her features.

"False alarm guys, it's only karai."

Leo says, putting away his dumb katanas and his dumb attitude with me....okay his katanas are pretty awesome.

Everyone sits and puts away their weopons.

"Morning turtles, Casey, and.."

Her eye's roll around the room, as she slowely makes her way over to you.

She keeps a calm, cool, face as she stares you down for a second.
"That's (y/n)" Raph speaks up, as he watches karai's reaction to you, which didn't seem threatening.

She seemed fixed on you and her gaze seemed to last forever. As she spoke.

"Nice to meet you, (y/n)."

Her voice sharp and sophisticated.

"So karai, how ya been?" Leo talks with her, finishing his slice.

"Good, me and shini have been looking over shredders lair, and i've gotten new ninja recruits." She smiles at him.

"They Casey, did you end up getting that video game you talked about last week?" Mikey asks casey.
Donnie talks with karai and leo.

It was just me and raph...

I look over at the city lights.
It's surely almost 3am.

And since theirs a quiet night we all go back to the lair.

(Karai's p.o.v.)

I walk to my throne and sit on it, as shinigami stands besides me.

"I saw her, shini. I'm most definitely sure it was her." I tell her in a hushed tone.

I look down to the floor.

"A tragedy what shredder made me do to her mother." I add.

Shini places her hand on my sholder reassuringly.

"Your past does not define you, karai." She speaks with her japanese accent.

I smile back at her.
