Splash Free!~Rin x Reader

Today was the big day for them. The big tournament. Nagisa and Rei were talking in the back of the bus. Makoto, Haru, and Gou were playing a card game. Rin and I were talking about his future and his previous years in Australia. 

"It was so hard fitting in. When I would come home everyday, I would always lock myself up in my room. I never wanted to see anybody. When I left, it felt completely different."

I grabbed his hand and he smiled.

"Now that I'm back, I'm glad to be swimming at home for the last year of school."

"I forgot, after this year you'll be leaving."

"You'll still be in school?" Rin asked.

"I'm in a second year."

"One more year and you'll be out of hell."

I snicker and Nagisa yelled from the back.

"Was that Rin or Y/N?"

"I think it was Rin," said Rei.

"Shut the hell up! It wasn't me so don't argue about it!"

I started laughing. 

"That was definitely Y/N," said Rei.

"I was going to say, Rin would never have such a girly laugh."

I laughed even more. Rin looked over at me, a bit confused.

The bus finaly stopped and there we were. Standing in front of one of the biggest pools I've ever seen. Haru was excited, I could tell. He was taking off his jacket. Makoto grabbed his arm and restrained him.

"Not now, dude! We gotta wait until they call you up."

"That reminds me. Here's the roster for you guys," said Gou as she handed them a piece of paper that had their heats and races.

"We'll be cheering you guys on," I said.

"Hey, there's Coach Sasabe!" Nagisa said and ran towards Sasabe and Ms. A.

"Nagisa! Good to see you got here safely. Hope you boys are ready for the race today."

"We sure are," Nagisa said confidently.

We joined them and headed into the stands. There were people getting warmed up for their beginning races. 

"First up, the mens 100 Breaststroke, heat 1," said the announcer.

"I'm not up until the third heat. I should get going. See you guys later!" Nagisa said and ran off towards the locker room.

"Let's hope he can make it into the finals," said Rei.

"Yeah that'd be a great confidence boost for him," said Makoto.

We all sat down, Gou and I tied a banner in front of us and saw the Samezuka Academy right across from us. They looked tougher this year than any other year I've seen them. Rin walked up next to me and looked across from the pool.

"Samezuka. They're not going to be pleased that I'm going to be racing against them," said Rin.

"I'm sure you'll beat their ass into the ground!"

"More like the water."

We both laughed and sat down.

"Mens 100 breaststroke, heat 3."

"Nagisa's up! Lane 5!" Gou cried.

"Swimmers, take your mark."
