A POV

I woke up at the feeling Maxon's bare skin to mine. I giggled as he hugged me tight his hands on my colossal stomach.

"How are you?" he asked breathing into my cheek.

"Wonderful. What time is it?" I asked turning around.

"Ten minutes before breakfast," he answered calmly.

My head instantly shot up. "Maxon! Ten minutes?" I exclaimed getting out of bed as quickly as possible. Before my feet touched the floor, Maxon pulled me to him pressing my body against his.

"I'm kidding. You have thirty minutes," he smirked and I sighed swatting his cheek.

"It doesn't matter. I need to get ready anyways. Maybe it takes you 10 minutes to get ready but it takes me 30 minutes." I kissed his lips tenderly and walked away to my room.

Maxon and I were walking hand in hand toward the dinning hall; our laughter filling the empty hallways of the palace. Two maids opened the door and we saw the King and Queen crossing arms waiting for us. 

From the conversation we heard yesterday we knew that the King was trying hard to change and the warm smile he flashed at us was evidence that he was certainly changing. Amberly looked happier than I've ever seen her, and the King even though he looked awkward he was happy to have his Queen back.

"Good morning," The King greeted, and I could see Maxon slightly smile.

"Good morning," we said.

"Please sit. Before we have breakfast I have exciting news for you," he announced as we all sat down. 

Maxon's grip in my hand tightened. "Maxon I have to apologize and you know all the reasons why. I may have not been the best Father in the world but I am so proud and happy for having you as my son. I hope you understand that I wanted the best for you, but I guessed that you became a perfect man on your own."

Maxon nodded but he didn't say anything. I knew that this moment was ecstatic to him but also very awkward. His Father's words were so foreign he didn't know how to react. 

Without waiting for his son to say something the King turned to me, "America I know I have given you a hard time in the palace, but I admired your energy and charm even in hard moments. You are brave and I am happy that you are the future Queen of Illea, wife of my son and the mother of my grandchildren."

I smiled few tears escaping from my eyes. "Thank you, Your Majesty."

 I could see the Queen holding her tears as well. "I want change from my past self and if I change the way I need to rule the country needs to change. But I had being ruling this country my way for ages.  So, I've decided to make you King, Maxon."

I squealed in excitement and I gave Maxon a hug. His face was speechless and he stared at his Father with wide eyes.

"Am I ready?" he asked. The King nodded and stood up to give Maxon a pat on the shoulder.

"You were always ready," he said. Maxon grinned and gave his Father a hug

Then I realized, if Maxon was King then I was going to be crowned Queen. The thought made me gasp and look at Amberly with wide doubtful eyes.

Amberly instantly caught my worried eyes and approached me to give me a hug. "I know what you feel. I went to the same thing. But one thing is different... that you are readier to be named Queen than I was years ago. You will do great, dear"
