For example, Normani Kordei was wearing a particularly sexy outfit today. But even that couldn't distract her. What the hell was wrong with her?
The rest of the day felt like agony to Y/n. First, because she didn't know why Camila was absent.
Second, because she didn't understand why it was that important to her. She couldn't focus on anything else and her friends asked her several times what was wrong with her, but she never answered, instead she shrugged and changed the subject.
At the end of the day, she finally spotted Ally in the parking lot. She was with Will. Y/n walked towards them.
At first, she tried to make small talk and was planning on asking the question as if it had just crossed her mind but she found himself blurting it out as soon as Ally saw her. She laughed a bit and told her Camila was home, sick.
Will looked a bit confused for a minute, his gaze moving from his girlfriend to his best friend and then a huge grin appeared on his face.
'Shit, he knows' thought Y/n. Will had transformed into a hopeless romantic the minute he had met Ally and he was always trying to figure out if Y/n had feelings for girls.
The boy never believed his friend when she attempted to convince him that Y/n Y/ln didn't have 'feelings'.
They had argued countless times on whether feelings were a good thing.
Will always said that love was great and that a relationship didn't mean anything without it, whilst Y/n asserted that feelings just got in the way of enjoying yourself.
Now that Y/n had figured out that her best friend had ... (she tried to find the right word but couldn't) something for Camila, Stiles would never hear the end of it.
Y/n said good-bye to the couple, ignoring the amused look Y/n was giving her and walked straight to her Jeep. She took the road that lead to Camila's house.
She could pretend that she was here for a study session. Or maybe she could just tell her she was worried about her.
Wouldn't that be too weird? Yeah, it'd be better to just say she needed help in math.
Y/n let her mind wander, thinking about the girl that she couldn't forget and for some unknown reason, she started to imagine herself bringing her soup, wrapping her in comforters on the couch, kissing her forehead... She made an abrupt stop as she almost ran a red light.
The shock made her gasp, almost as much as the realization of what she was imagining.
Fantasizing about kissing a girl on the forehead? 'Really Y/n?' she asked herself.
There was definitely something different about Camila. Never in her life had she wished she could bring soup to a girl.
Y/n arrived at her house and almost jumped out of the car.
She ran up the few steps to Camila's house but as she arrived in front of the door, she stopped.
Was she really going to do this? She took a deep breath and rang the doorbell. She was about to leave when she heard footsteps coming from inside the house.
The door opened to reveal Camila. She was wearing sweatpants and a loose tee. Her hair was in a messy bun on her head. Her face was void of makeup, as usual, but Y/n thought she didn't need anything to be beautiful.
She was barefoot, which made her look absolutely tiny. Y/n thought it was adorable and she wanted to hug her, to wrap herself around her small and delicate frame.
"Y/n. What are you doing here?" Camila seemed happy to see her, but mostly surprised.
"I... Um... I." Y/n's words were incoherent. The sentences she had rehearsed when she was waiting at the door had vanished from her mind and she had no idea what to say.
