"Do you wanna.. come in?" Rachel asked, trying to keep the happiness (and awkwardness) at a minimum.
They had talked things out. Tom didn't mean to stare and he apologised - again. Rachel did too and they simply enjoyed their pizza and their walk in each other's company.
Tom's heart soared at her words. "Yeah, sure."
She opened the hotel door, allowing him to walk in first as she followed. She dumped her jacket on an empty arm chair and stood watching Tom who was looking out the window.
"Your view is so amazing. All I can see is the view of the car park."
They both laughed at his words, him shrugging off his beige jacket which Rachel thought looked incredible on him. His back muscles etched their way through the plain white material as he did and it took everything she had not to swoon.
She was a sucker for back muscles, and arm veins too.
Rachel made her way over to the window beside Tom, admiring the view of the city lights. She could smell his faint yet familiar cologne which she thought smelt great as she looked at him.
They were basically the same height, Tom being taller by perhaps just a couple of centimetres.
He did the same, intrigued by her brown eyes that were latched onto his as they realised they were right up against each other.
Tom's hands sat on Rachel's hips as their lips sat just millimetres away from each other. Anyone could tell that they craved for their lips to touch, even for a mere second.
"Can I kiss you?" Tom's voice was soft and gentle, keeping the mood of the scene romantic and quiet as Rachel nodded, her hands finding the back of his neck as her eyes closed.
The kiss was nothing like they expected. No butterflies, no sparks. It was better. There was zoos and fireworks as their lips locker together in the intimate moment.
Her hands tugged on his brown hair, causing him to groan and pull her closer to him. They couldn't get enough of each other.
They stayed like that for a few minutes, lip-smacking and standing in each other's comfortable grip, treasuring the moment that hopefully wouldn't be there last.
They pulled back slightly, lips swollen as they gazed into each other's eyes. And they were sure that whatever this was between them, was going to be the best thing to ever happen to them.
