Chapter 17: Remember!

"Hn... Sasuke?" the girl rubbed her eyes as she tried to looked into the darkness of the forest. She tried to move but nothing came of it. As her eyes adjusted, she looked up and saw the Uchiha's peaceful expression. A smile was brought to her face as a soft giggle echoed in the quiet room. It was then when she felt his two arms wrapped around her. "Sasuke... I'm not a stuffed animal..." her smile turned into a pout. "...mine..." a soft mumble escaped Sasuke's lips as his hug around the girl tightened. She sighed in defeat as she found no way she could escape his grasp. Before she knew it, she found herself snuggling into his chest and falling back asleep.

"That was two days ago..." Sasuke mumbled to himself. "Wait... So she doesn't remember about how we almost ki-..." The genin felt a glare digging into the back of his skull. Hesitantly, he turned back and saw Kakashi looming over him. A dark and menacing aura around him filled the room with tension. "So Sasuke. What were you doing with my little girl?..." his eye beamed brightly in the darkness that surrounded the four. A chill climbed up the Uchiha's spine as all he could feel is bloodlust from the jonin. "B-But he was asleep! So he wouldn't have known what he was doing!" (Y/n) rapidly waved her hands dismissively trying to calm her father down. "HAHA! I BET SASUKE WAS SCARED OF THE DARK!" Naruto bursted out laughing and began rolling around on the floor as tears fell. "Shut up," the Uchiha blew a hard kick to the Uzumaki's stomach. "UCHIHA!" Sasuke flinched as he turned around. The only thing he managed to see was the sharp gleam of bright red up close before he was kicked into the wall far left of the room. "HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU NOT TO HIT NARUTO!" Flames ignited behind the girl as her hair flowed in the air. Naruto and Sasuke were lying on the floor in pain. "Come on. Stand up Naru," (Y/n) helped the blonde stand up from the floor. Fast approaching footsteps echoed through the hallway. "Sasuke-kun!!" Ino and Sakura yelled in unison as they ran into the room. The three members of Team 7 watched as the two girls helped Sasuke get back up on his feet. Ino quickly darted her glare towards (Y/n) and stomped up to her. "You just can't hit Sasuke-kun like that!!" Ino spat out as the Hatake looked at her with an indifferent expression. As Sakura made sure Sasuke was stable she began to walk to (Y/n), ready to yell at her. The Uchiha grabbed her wrist before she could walk any further. "Sakura... She doesn't remember much about the past few days. Everything about Orochimaru and the mark she has seems to have left her mind. Kakashi asked us not to mention anything about it," Sasuke informed her in a whisper. Sakura hesitantly nodded trying to end the conversation about the Hatake. The two looked back and deadpanned (Y/n). "That doesn't mean it's okay to hit me!!" (Y/n) yelled as she pinned Ino down holding a kunai to her neck. "Okay okay okay. Calm down." Kakashi picked the girl up like a rag doll. "Let me at her!!" she swung her legs and threw punches in the air in defiance. "Shhh." Sasuke patted her back to calm her down. Soon she was just pouting as her dad held her back. "(Y/n)!" Hinata ran down stairs. "Heya, Hina!" she greeted her with a big grin. The Hyuuga looked on in confusion at the girl's sudden change in mood. She stood still not wanting to get near. Noticing her confusion, Sasuke placed two hands next to his face and mouthed 'amnesia' to the girl. "Her eyes widened in surprise but she soon shook it off by nodding in understanding. "How much does she remember?" Hinata whispered to the Uchiha. "Forgot the past two days or so.... Not really sure yet. She seems to remember bits and pieces of those two days but any traumatic events seem to be a blank..." Sasuke crossed his arms over his chest as he looked over at the sulking girl. All of their attention was averted to the giant puff of smoke in the center of the room. "You called?" a purple haired Anbu ninja appeared next to a second Anbu and two Medica-Nins. "Ya, Papa's not feeling too well and for some reason, he came all the way up here. Can you take him to the hospital and give him a check up? Make sure he's okay?" (Y/n) smiled towards the four ninjas. "Alright (Y/n)-sama," one of the medical ninja bowed to show respect towards the girl. "Why the 'sama' part?" her nose scrunched up at the question. "Your medical skills are far more advanced than everybody in the hospital!" one of the medical-nin studdered in amazement. "Heh, not really..." she forced a smile as she sweatdropped. "Let's get going," the purple Anbu said. Kakashi gave a small wave towards his daughter before they poofed out of the room. Sasuke turned to the girl and tapped her shoulder. "Anything else you remember?" he spoke low. "Only pieces that don't fit... Like when we went swimming that one time and somehow that shifts to me and Hina cooking fish. There is a faint memory that I can't really make out..." she placed one hand under her chin in contemplation. "Can you make out a part of it?" Hinata spoke up. "Hm... I remember leaning against the wall and looking up at someone who was kinda close to me... then something about Lee then it's all a blur," the Hatake mumbled as she tried to fit the pieces together. "Ooh~ It seems like (Y/n) kissed Lee to me~!" Ino squealed from her spot. An instant blush covered the face of the short Genin as she covered her entire face in embarrassment. Hinata and Sasuke exchanged looks of disbelief with a hint of annoyment. "D-Did I...?" she gazed at Ino between the gaps of her fingers. "(Y/n) has a crush on Lee!!!" Ino began to squeal even louder. "That bushy brow? Heck, he's still better than Sasuke!" Naruto teased as he began to laugh. Footsteps quickly approached down the hall. They seemed to be a hundred times faster than Ino's or Sakura's from earlier. Soon, Lee appeared at the door way with a giant grin on his face. "Did I hear that right?!" everybody looked at him wide-eyed as (Y/n) hid behind Hinata. "So Lee, how about you and my good friend Hatake, (Y/n) go out after we finish the exams?" Ino wiggled her eyebrows at the green genin as she pulled the girl out of hiding. "Y-Ye-!" Lee was about to agree until he felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned back and quickly stumbled onto the floor in fear. There, looming over him, stood Kakashi glaring down at him. "What were you going to say, Lee...?" Thunder and lightning appeared out of nowhere as it roared behind the jonin. "I said I was going to train!!!" Lee ran out of the room fearing for his life. A puff of smoke engulfed Kakashi, soon clearing out revealing it to be Neji. "That was a close one..." Neji sighed in relief. His gaze turned to the girl that looked like a tomato. "So, you have a thing for Lee?" a teasing smirk shaped his features. "He's a sweet guy but I can't say that I do..." she sighed as she tried to cool down. "Wait, what?" Ino raised an eyebrow, "then why did you blush when I mentioned him?" "Getting your first kiss stolen and not remembering is embarrassing Ino..." she sighed once more. "I-I don't think she had her first kiss yet..." Hinata spoke up grabbing everybody's attention. "Huh?" Ino was beyond confused at this point. "W-Well if it was Lee who kissed her don't you think Lee would have acted differently when he heard you say (Y/n) had a crush on him?" she reasoned trying to help (Y/n) out. "I was there when it happened... Lee wasn't the one with (Y/n)..." Sasuke mumbled out loud. "R-Really then who was it!?" the small Hatake studdered. "I'll tell you later," his cheeks reddened as he turned away from her. "Oh come on~ Tell us~" Ino wrapped her arms around him. "Me," he muttered as he looked at her with a blank face. "Y-You kissed her!!?" Ino was ready to pounce on the blushing amnesiac. "No," 'sadly...' Sasuke sighed in disappointment as the others sighed in relief. "Hey (Y/n), thanks for the food," Temari yelled from the doorway. "Y-yeah... No problem..." she looked down at her own stomach.
