Chapter 17: Remember!

'Hungry?' 'Yeah....' 'Hey Kura...?' 'What?' 'Why am I missing some memories?' 'Too much trauma in such a short time I'm guessing...' 'D-Do you remember what happened during those blank spots?' 'I... don't think I should tell you about those...' 'It was that bad huh....?' 'Pretty much.' 'Was all of it bad?' '...Yes' 'How much memory did I lose?' 'From the looks of it, one to two days worth.' 'Geez'

"Hina, aren't you coming in?" (Y/n) called from the edge of the river. "N-No I'm fine watching from here," she waved her hands in front of her. "No, you're not... You're coming in..." she climbed out of the water and made her way towards the Hyuuga leaving a trail of water behind her. "Take it off Hina," she demanded as she placed her hands on her hips. "B-but what if someone sees...!" she tightly held the zipper of her jacket in place. "Don't worry! I already checked, there is no one near us. Now take it off and come swim!" Hinata sighed in defeat knowing how stubborn an Uzumaki can be. "Fine..." She stripped off her clothes until she was only in her underwear. "Yay! Now let's go swim!" she grabbed her hand and ran towards the river with a giant smile on her face. "H-Hold on!" It was too late. Both girls were already under water. The two soon resurfaced, both coughing. "See? - Isn't that- refreshing-?" the Hatake said between coughs. "Yeah - refreshing-..." the Hyuuga barely managed to choke out. Their coughing fit soon died down as they were able to relax. The girls rested at the edge of the river placing a wet cloth above their resting heads.

"Ready?" "Ready." "On three.... One.... Two... Three...!"

"Ahhhh!!!" the two girls removed the wet cloth from their eyes but turned around too late. Both felt arms wrap around their waist as they were dragged underwater. Hinata kept her eyes shut in fear but (Y/n) quickly opened her eyes under water, hoping to get a glimpse of the attackers. Unfortunately every chance she got to see their face, bubbles of her own struggle to keep her breath underwater covered them. Soon enough, the four resurfaced. The two girls coughed as the two attackers laughed loudly. "Did ya see their faces?! Didn't think they'd fall for it!" one of them laughed out loud. (Y/n) and Hinata wiped water from their eyes. The Hatake opened her eyes and soon pouted and furrowed her eyebrows at the sight. Naruto tried to help Hinata stop coughing as his arms were snaked around her. She turned around and saw Sasuke's smirking face. "Really, you fell for that...?" his smirk became more of a tease to the girl. "So much for relaxing..." she pouted off to the side. "Oh come on. Did I scare you that much?~" he placed his lips on her shoulder sending a foreign feeling throughout the girl's body. Something seemed different from the Uchiha to (Y/n). His voice was more playful and teasing than his usual calm demeanor. "What's your game Uchiha?" she squinted her eyes at him. "Nothing... I just want to... play~" he whispered as his lips grazed her ear sending the same foreign feeling throughout her body once more. "Ah geez. Sorry, Hinata. Didn't mean for ya to choke..." Naruto scratched the back of his head sheepishly. Once the girl had finally stopped coughing she felt Naruto's arm around her waist. "N-Naruto...!?" her face began to resemble a tomato by the second. (Y/n)'s attention was averted to the girl who seemed like she was going to pass out any second. 'This is my chance!' "Sorry Naruto, Sasuke! Seems like Hina has a fever! We have to get back now!... Bye!" the two girls disappeared as a puff of smoke replaced them and their clothes. The knucklehead glared at the Uchiha, "What did you do to her?..."

The two girls panted as they held their clothes in their arms. "That....was close..." (Y/n) said between breaths. "Wow, what happened to you two?" Ino's voice echoed through out the room. Hinata quickly hid behind the Hatake not wanting more people to see her so exposed. "We went for a swim, Sasu- I mean other genin showed up and we ran away... Yeah sure... we'll go with that," she tried to come up with a reason on the spot. She turned to Ino's two teammates that stood beside her. Shikamaru and Choji both looked away as their cheeks were tinted red. It was then she realized that she and Hinata were still half naked. "U-Uh... could we get some privacy?" she forced a smile. "O-Oh yeah sure" Ino realized that her teammates were still following her. "You perverts! Don't try to sneak glances at girls who aren't even interested in you!" Ino scolded them as she kicked them out of the room, slamming the door behind her. Hinata let out a sigh of relief as they were finally able to relax again. "Why are you so panicked?" Hinata managed to calm down. "I uh... well... Sasuke..." a blush crept up her cheeks as she tried to explain while looking down at her fidgeting fingers. She looked up and saw a smile curve the lips of the Hyuuga. "Uhuh, what about Sasuke?" she seemed to have forgotten about her own embarrassing situation. "Well... he had his arms wrapped around me and then... I think he kissed my shoulder? Then he said he wanted to play... What does that mean?..." her flustered and embarrassed attitude from earlier was gone as she was confused by the Uchiha's words. All that came out of Hinata was a soft but long laugh as tears escaped her eyes. (Y/n) obliviousness never fails to amaze Hinata. "What's so funny Hyuuga?" she furrowed her eyebrows. She got no response as her best friend struggled to breathe from laughing too much. "Fine...." the Hatake plopped onto the floor as she pouted further and crossed her arms over her chest. "I'm sorry. You're just too adorable," a cheery smile spread across the girl's face as she stopped laughing. "Yeah yeah... Let's just get changed..."
