Chapter 10 - Magic Within Our Hearts.

Start from the beginning

"Are you alright?" He asked me. Leave it to my boyfriend to ask me if I was alright in the middle of the battle.

"There's so many of them." I said to him as I nodded my head towards the Telmarine army.

He looked over and we now saw the entire army start marching towards us. This was insane. We were only fighting the calvary right now, which seemed like the entire army. We saw Caspian send another signal, and that's when the griffins and dwarves came out. The griffins flew above us as they held the dwarves, who were holding readied bows and arrows. The Telmarines began firing more catapults and they brought out a different weapon that I had never seen before. It looked like a large crossbow that was designed to only take down griffins. They began firing it, and that's when I saw the griffins begin to fall out of the sky. That's when I started to have doubts. Were we really going to be able to defeat the Telmarines?

"Back to the How!" Peter shouted from beside me.

The two of us turned around and made a run for it back to the How. Caspian, Edmund, and the Narnians all ran behind us, but as we ran, more catapults hit the How. It began to shake and it made me worry about Marcel, Susan, and the rest of the archers that we on top. Peter held onto me as we ran to try to shield me from the flying stone going past us. A couple of Narnians ran past us, and as we began to reach the entrance of the How, the arch above it began to crumble. Two Narnians were underneath the arch, when all of the stone from above it fell and collapsed on them. The entrance was now blocked and we couldn't get back inside. Peter stopped me quickly and my mouth dropped in horror over the two Narnians. Edmund and Caspian stopped beside us, and the sound of catapults hitting the top of the How made us look up.

When one of the catapults hit, a tree from the top of the How fell over, causing the stone from underneath Susan's feet to break. She began to fall, but Trumpkin quickly caught her hand. We all immediately became worried watching her hang from the How. Marcel quickly ran over to them, and he helped Trumpkin swing Susan over to a slab of stone. Trumpkin let go of her and she landed on the stone. Marcel quickly jumped down next to her, and he placed a hand on her shoulder before they ran over to us. We all looked out at the Telmarine army, which was beginning to circle us. There was only one way left out of this battle. We got out our weapons once again and got ready. The six of us looked at each other with determined faces before running back out into the battle.

Marcel shot the first Telmarine that came at him, and Peter took out two more with his sword. Caspian took out a Telmarine with his sword, and threw an arrow he found in the ground at another one. Susan shot multiple Telmarines and hit a few with her bow. Edmund stood near the marching Telmarines and took out all the ones coming near him. I elbowed a Telmarine coming up behind me and swung my sword around quickly. I took my staff off of my back and hit two Telmarines with it. I placed it back on, and continued to take out more soldiers. Peter looked over at me to make sure I was alright before continuing the battle. I looked back out to the army, and I held my sword up. But then I stopped.

That's when I felt it.

It hit me all at once. I looked up at the sun, and I could hear the rays shining from above. I looked to the ground and I could hear the grass crunching from underneath everyone's feet. I could hear the buzzing of a bug that flew from a distance. I could feel the energy that came from the forest around me. I looked around to find Marcel, and when I found him, he had stopped fighting too. He was looking at me as he held his hands out in front of him. He could feel every aspect of the air around him. That's how we knew.

Lucy had found Aslan and had awoken the deep magic.

Our magic was back.

Knowing what I was thinking, Marcel ran over to me. We both ran over to the edge of the forest and he took his staff off of his back. As soon as he had a grip on it, fire came bursting out from the top of it. I grabbed mine quickly and saw the vines wrapped around it start to turn green again. Once it was green, white frost immediately began to wrap around the vines. Marcel and I looked at each other and we couldn't help but laugh.
