Chapter 10 - Magic Within Our Hearts.

"You ready to have some fun?" He asked me with a small smile.

"It's showtime, brother." I said to him.

He smiled before running back out into the battle. I smiled widely before turning towards the trees. I took a step back and held up my arms.

"It's time to get to work." I said to them.

The trees in front of me immediately shot out their roots. I smiled as I began to walk backwards and they followed me. I turned around and the trees followed me into the battle. The Narnians and Telmarines all seemed shocked when they looked up. I used my staff to direct the roots of the trees. One of the roots took a Telmarine and threw him into the woods. Another root took a Telmarine and slammed him against the ground. I saw Caspian in the pit in front of me and the Telmarine general held up a spear over him. I immediately sent a root through the ground, and I grabbed the Telmarine general and slammed him against the wall, knocking him out instantly. I know we're not supposed to use magic for violence unless absolutely necessary, but too be fair, it is very necessary right now. Peter quickly helped Caspian out of the pit before realizing the trees were literally right behind him. Peter looked at me in awe and I couldn't help but smile at him. Caspian's mouth fell to the ground in shock. He knew Marcel and I had magic, but I don't think he expected us to be this powerful.

"Lucy." Peter said to us and Caspian was at a loss of words. I couldn't help, but laugh a little.

"Didn't your professor ever mention this in his stories?" I asked him. He looked over at me and laughed happily before looking back up at the trees.

Susan, Edmund, and Marcel all ran over to us as the Telmarines began to run back to the woods. The Narnians cheered loudly behind me as they watched me use my magic. Marcel stepped forward with his staff towards a group of around fifty Telmarines that were all huddled together coming towards us. He swung his staff around quickly and all fifty of them went flying way up in the air. The Telmarines shot one of their catapults at one of my trees, and it fell to the ground. The Narnians stopped cheering for a second, but I quickly looked at one of the trees next to me. I sent all of its roots deep into the ground and it made ripples in the ground as it traveled towards the Telmarine army. Once they reached the catapult, they shot up from the ground and wrapped around the catapult. It was broken and brought down to the ground easily.

"I love you." Peter said breathlessly as he looked at me and I couldn't help but smile brightly. I had never felt more alive.

Marcel swung his staff around in the air and fire began to erupt from the top of it. He swung it around until there was a large wall of fire surrounding him. He threw his hands up and the fire formed into a large phoenix. The fire phoenix screeched loudly before Marcel pointed his staff towards the catapults. The phoenix flew through the air and it stopped over the Telmarine army. The Telmarines all began to run quickly into the woods. Fire began to shoot of of the phoenix's mouth and all of the other catapults began to burn to the ground. All of the Narnians erupted it's loud cheers.

"For Aslan!" Peter shouted from next to me.

We all ran after the Telmarine army quickly and followed them into the woods. My staff was clutched tightly in my hand in case I had to use it again. It felt amazing as I felt all of the earth around me. I couldn't even contain my happiness any longer. Even if we were in the middle of a battle. We reached the shore of the river, where there was a large wooden bridge. The Telmarines began to ride across, but they all stopped quickly. We all looked down at the other end of the bridge, and saw Lucy standing there. My eyes widened when I saw she was all by herself standing in front of at least a thousand Telmarines. It was quiet as we watched Lucy pull out her small dagger and glare at the Telmarines.
