After breakfast, (which now apparently was served outside, in the gardens) we went to visit, the 'expert' Nicolas had said would help. He called the intercom of the lift to get to the 'experts' floor, we reached the level and stepped into a beautiful apartment almost identical to mine, only with slight variations of colours and paintings.
Then came out a 5'6'' guy with cut straight hair, and light skin; it was Felix. Great my saving hope into figuring what has happened is a seventeen year old math and physics lover! But, I guess it was better than nothing, if anyone was going to solve this mystery it would probably be him, especially when it involves such a layered concept as time travel.
He walked over to us, with a smile on his face and then spoke "What brings you guys here?"
"Well" Nicolas began "We have a slight, uh...issue of sorts."
"Huh, you could say that again." I spoke out
"What sort of issue?" Felix's smile had dropped to worried frown.
"You see, Mia here has apparently traveled back in time, to the start of this luxury journey again except that this time its not the same place she was staying but it is, and is instead an apartment floor that each person gets."
"Wait? WHAT?!" Felix's shock was clear
"Look, okay it's true, but I don't exactly know, but something isn't right, something happened and now we're stuck here." I tried to sound as reassuring as possible but it didn't seemed to persuade the growing concern on Felix's face.
"Okay, you need to slow down I don't understand anything your saying or talking about, tell me everything you think happened from the beginning." So I began telling him all the events that had led me to this moment, recalling all the fine details, to ensure he received a full perspective and grasp of the situation at hand.
"Okay, so you have lived some this summer camp already, except it was slightly different because you and houses, and only you remember everything clearly while the rest of us have memories of this, but are hazed out when it comes to how we actually got here."
"Yes! Exactly!"
"Hmmm, and you said you saw a bright white light?"
"Yes..."
"Hmmm, I thin your theory of you being the one opening it may be correct as to why your memories weren't damaged, it seems as though you somehow opened a time loop, and that bright light was effect of two opposites which were to never touch- aka past and future, or this reality and another. The theory of this being an alternate universe is unlikely due to us having memories of a future that now doesn't exist. However the theory of you traveling back to the beginning of all this, while plausible, still seems strange, as it begs the question, why would the house and layout design change? What could cause it? and how... Wait a minute."
"Oh I know that look, you have a theory!" Nicolas excitement was bursting out by this point, which gave me a sense of hope that maybe the situation could be fixed.
"Well, I'm not sure yet, and it seems rather ridiculous, but never the less, here it is. I believe that this place itself, could have some sort scientific energy encircling it, and that the house and or the owners know it and are harnessing it to bring people here and send them back to the start of a trip over and over again, and have their memories partially altered. But the cabinet that you opened may have been some resource for them and you controlled it for a minute and made the swap happen, probably off schedule, and because of it your memories were unaffected by the memory alteration."
"Wow, thats just wow." I was in utter shock, could that really be possible.
"Wait a minute, you said 'scientific energy' does that mean magic." Nicolas eyes were sparkling like shiny stars.
