Your pov

"I hate you!" My own words rang through my head. How could I say that? He has no idea what's going on and honestly neither do I. I sighed heavily thinking back to our argument.

"My grandfather was right. I don't belong here." Mike started to walk away. "Mike!" I shouted, scrambling after him. "Leave me alone, y/n."

He pulled his bike up, swinging one leg over the seat. "Where do you think you're going?" I put my hands on his handles, stopping him from pedaling.

"Home." He shoved my hands off. "Please don't, mike, we have to stop this...thing."

"You'll be better off without me. I'm just gonna slow you down." He shoved me aside, knocking me off balance, as I fell on my bottom. Bev rushed over to help me up. I thanked her, then hopped on my own bike, trying to catch up to Mike.

He turned to see me coming and pulled over to the side. "God, why are you so persistent? Can't you see that I just wanna leave? I don't want to hang out with you guys anymore!"

"You don't mean that! You're scared, but we all are. We already lost 4 of the guys. We can't loose you too." I hopped off my bike, walking over to try and comfort him.

"God, ever thought the reason you didn't have any relationship last before was because you didn't know when to give it a rest. I have to go. Don't follow me." His voice was cold and bitter. He pedaled again.

"I hate you!" I screamed after him. "Go burn in hell you bastard!"

There was a knock on my door, startling me. I tiptoed towards the door, peering out the hole. It was Mike. I opened the door. He stared at me awkwardly for a few seconds, as did I. "I'm sorry." We said simultaneously. He walked towards me, pulling me in and flipping me down, connecting our lips.

He disconnected our lips and held my hands. "Come with me."

"Where?" I asked. "Far away. Let's just run. I know a great place we can get away."

"Really?" I smiled at him. "Yeah and you know what's great about it?"

"We'll be there together?" I giggled. "Yes, and we'll float."

"What?" My mouth made a frown. "Cmon lets go. I'm already floating there and if you come with me we can float together."

My breath hitched and I turned away, making a dash for the back door. Before I could get two feet, two arms wrapped around my waist, spinning me around. "Help!!" I screeched. It stared into my eyes, my whole body going numb as his mouth
Stretched open. All I could think was how peaceful, yet scared I was as I took my final breath.
