We split up once we arrived at the Carnival. We played lots of games, but Cyrus had to help me alot. We decided to go on the Farris wheel for the finishing thing, since it was late and the sun was starting to set. I was getting cold and all I could do was shiver. I should've brought a jacket but I never thought about it. I shivered and nearly jumped outta my seat when I felt sudden warmth. It was his jacket wrapped around my shoulders. He had his gaze another direction as if he was embarrassed by what he had done. His gaze finally turned to me as we were slowly going our last round. "You promised ya know," his eyes weren't sparkling as much as they usually did and his usual smirk was gone. "What did I promise?" I asked with just as much sadness as he had. He shook his head and diverted his look. My head suddenly felt dizzy as the ride finally touched the ground. Harper and Cyrus's friend was waiting for us at the ground. Cyrus quickly got up and joined the others. I tried doing the same but being dizzy, I fell right down.
"Ma'am, are you okay?" The man and the little girl looked frightened. I gave them a small smile but it faded as everything got blurry. A picture appeared into my head as I realized I was remembering something. Cyrus wraps his jacket around my shoulders and kisses me. His kiss leaves a feeling on my lips. I giggled and placed my hand on my lips touching his kiss. I laughed once I saw the lipstick on his lips. I licked my thumb and wiped the red color off them. "Promise me something, beautiful," he said seriously. I look into his sparkling blue eyes. "Promise what, my sunshine?" I asked curiously. He grabbed my hand. "Promise you'll never forget me. I know your memory is bad, and I'm afraid that it will eventually get bad and you'll forget me," his voice was breaking at every word. I held out my pinkie as he took it. "Ill never forget," I promised. The memory faded and I slowly woke up. Cyrus wasn't around but Harper was looking at me with worry and tears in her eyes. "I remember..." I whispered. Kason, Cyrus's friend looked at me.
"Luna, what do you remember?" He spoke quitely. "My promise. Where's Cyrus?" Kason points to someone in a corner hiding in the shadows. Oblitus sol. I walked closer to the guy in the shadows. I couldn't see his face but I could recognize his blonde hair. "I'm sorry I broke that promise. But I swear on me, that I'll never forget you again... and if I do, you better be here to tell me my promise. Help me remember. Please, I wanna remember my sunshine," I pleaded. "Your not Luna!" He growled at me, "I'll never give a d*mn about you for as long as you live." The words stung as they struck my heart. "I guess I'm glad I forgot you then. Your nothing like the guy in that memory," my voice as cold and cruel as could be. I walked away with tears in my eyes.
What were you thinking? Did you really think anyone could love someone who broke such an important promise?
