The Hero and The Heroine - Book 1

"I got you, Eleanor," Link says and quickly grabs my hand and pulls me up.

I let out the shaky breath I have been holding in then smile at him "Thank you" he smiles back "Anytime" we walk past some Deku baba's, Link attacks them and takes the Deku stick that they gave.

"So what's your world like?" He asks while we walk up the stairs "It's completely different than Termina, we don't live in a kingdom or have monsters roaming around" I laugh.

I guess he's really shocked by this because he just stares at me with curiosity before he says "Hm."

"It's rather nice where I live, not much to do, but it's good enough for me" I smile as I remember the nice winters I used to have when I was younger.

"What do you think of my world so far?" He asks, I shrug "It's nice, but I miss my home" I sigh, gosh it feels like it's been so long since I've been home but in reality, it's only been maybe 4 days.

"You'll be back soon enough" Link smiles at me, but he looks... Sad? Why is he sad?

I open my mouth to say something but Tatl interrupts me "There are shadows lurking in the darkness" she warns, Link quickly changes out of his Deku form and pulls out his sword, he kills all of the enemies in the room making a treasure chest appear.

He opens the chest and a stray fairy flies out of it, Link catches it "That's our 8th one I think" he says.

It's weird to think that I've been walking around this dungeon with a complete stranger, I mean we've shared a couple of conversations here and there, but I haven't made much of an effort to talk to him but that's because I'm a little preoccupied.

I run around and light all of the torches making the door unlock, Link and I walk through the door and appear in a room with moving platforms that have Deku flowers on them, I point down to the floor.

"If you fall into one of those holes it'll take you back to the main room, please be careful," Link says so we make our way across the room to the other door.

I shoot the dragonflies with my acid bubbles then Link and I walk through the door.

We walk into the main room but now we're on a higher level, Link changes out of his Deku form and steps on a platform which ignites a torch in front of it.

"What are we supposed to do with that?" Link asks, "We're supposed to get arrows then shoot one through those flames and make it land on that ashtray," Tatl says and flies down to it.

"Because that's not hard" Link rolls his eyes, we walk through the nearest door which leads us into some room, I don't even know what to call all of these rooms anymore.

Every room is starting to look the same at this point, and I think we've honestly been doing this for a few hours.

I take off my Deku mask "I'll be right back" I say and enter into an enemy's room. I tried to seem really cool and chill about entering the room, but I'm not and I'm freaking out.

The door locks behind me and Tatl locks onto a new enemy, a Dinofol.

"Watch out for his fiery breath!" Tatl warns I roll away as he runs up to me.

He tries to hit me with his sword but I dodge him and hit him with my dagger, he sprays me with his fiery breath but luckily it doesn't harm me.

I slash him a couple of times until he's defeated, I sigh of relief then open the treasure chest that took his place.
