take three- jay park juss know you've been running his mind for a while now, but being so busy at work prevented him from seeing you. jay is someone who is expressive about his feelings with people he's comfortable with, so not being able to tell you what was going through his head had him worked up and stressed. "i'm getting outta here" jay told simon. he had finally given in. being in the studio for extended periods of time was unhealthy. just sitting in there made him feel like the walls were closing in on him, he never thought he would be claustrophobic. "no need to explain," simon spoke before jay could say more. "when's the last time you saw to y/n?" simon questioned, turning around to face jay in the large studio office chair. "it's been a while. i gotta see her, you know?" jay questioned. simon waved jay off with his hand, a grin of relief settling on jay's face. "i'll hold this place down. tell y/n i said hi" simon said. "yeah, later" jay replied before leaving the studio and making his way down the long hallways towards the exit. he dialed your number as soon as he got into his car. "jay..?" you answered, exhaustion in your voice. "do you have a free base tonight?" he asked. "yeah, why?" "i'm coming through. be there in 20 minutes" he informed you. you hadn't seen jay in days. the distance was making you weary, but he was a dedicated man, passionate about his work- you wouldn't let your feelings get in the way of that, no matter how much you missed him. "it's 1:30 in the morning jay" you informed him, sitting up in bed and taking the phone off of your ear to look at the time on your screen. "i'll make it quick then. i just.. have to see you" jay admitted. there wasn't anything you could say to protest that. despite the time, you had to see him too. "alright" you settled. "alright?" he questioned, you hummed in response. "the door will be open, so just come in" "good-great. see you in a bit" "later jay" after the phone call, jay pulled off out of the parking lot and down the empty streets. the dim lights of the street lamps poured in through jay's sunroof every time he passed one, quick flashes of light filled his car as he sped down the roads. once he had finally gotten to your house, he parked in the lot and got out of the car, making his way up the steps and to the front door. he opened the unlocked door and stepped in just as you said, closing the door after himself. after sliding his shoes off at the door, he made his way up the stairs and to your bedroom door, knocking three times before pushing the door open. you sat up in your bed, reading a book with the bedside lamp on. jay let out a breathy "hey" as a load dropped off of his shoulders. just seeing you could do that to him. "hey" you smiled, getting out of bed and pacing towards him. you embraced him as soon you got close enough to reach him with your arms. he hugged you back tightly. it told him he couldn't be claustrophobic. not when he held you like this. before he could say anything, you kissed him. he had never been so happy to melt as he did when his lips moved along with yours. his thumbs caressed the soft skin on your hips, you were finally the only thing he could think about. "you've been on my mind" he whispered to you.
