Richie's p.o.v

Me and Eddie had walked to out favorite spot in Derry. It was an old weeping willow tree next to a big lake. It was always so peaceful, and we always went there when we were stressed, or something. I was sitting against the tree, while Eddie was in front of me.

"What's the big deal about kissing?" He suddenly asked.

I looked up with a confused look.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

Eddie sighs. "Well I heard some girl talking to her friend about how great her first kiss was. Like its not that big of a deal is it?"

I began to think about it. "Hmm I think it should mean a lot. Like you want your first kiss to be with someone you love right?" I said.

"Yeah I guess. Maybe we should-" Eddie cut himself off.

"Maybe we should what?" I asked.

Eddie looked away and shook his head. "Never mind."

I frowned.

"Eddie?" I asked.

He looked back at me.

"Friends don't lie." I said with a small smile.

He breathed in, and said, "Maybe we should kiss. You know, just to see if it's really a big deal." Eddie rushed out.

I blushed, and looked down.

"Well, ok." I said.

Eddie looked surprised.

"Ok close your eyes." I said.

"But then I won't be able to see." He complained.

I help up my fist.

"Ok ok jeez." Eddie closed his eyes.

"On the count of three."

I got closer.

I quickly pressed my lips against his. Only for a second. I pulled away and my eyes got wide. We just staredat each other. I didn't know what to say. The kiss felt amazing. I wanted to kiss him again but I was too scared.

"Say something it's too quiet." I said.

Eddie began to think of something to say.

"Um... um.. hmm." He thought.

I rolled my eyes. "Hurry!"

He stood up quickly.

"I pledged alligence to the flag of the United States of America,"

I stood up with him, and put my hand over my heart.

" and to the Republic for which it stands. One nation under God indivisible and liberty and justice for all."
